The hotel is fine, no more, no less, very average, period. Rooms are OK, location is in central Manila (Ermita), about 15 min walk to the light train (subway) and Jose Rizal Park. The immediate surronding are poor average of Ermita, you need to walk a little to get to more touristic zones but it is a good place if you want a reasonable price hotel near central Manila. Just need to walk a bit to get to the real action.

Okay, I have to admit that the Garden Plaza has seen better days, but who hasn't? The paint is chipped, and the furniture is worn, but it has its charms. It's about 20 minutes from the airport, and from what I could tell in my time there, centrally located in Manilla. There are some dimly-lit back streets in the area, and I wouldn't advise taking a midnight stroll by yourself, but that's Manilla: be sensible and you'll be fine. The staff in the hotel are friendly and accomodating, and help you out if you need it. It's not the Ritz (and frankly, it's a little over-priced), but it has character. I'll stay again.

When I first arrived in the hotel, I was frustrated. The reception staff were moody and customer service was very POOR! When I reached the room, I noticed that lamp shade is stained and cupboards were damaged! The bathroom is very dirty that even the towels are so so so dirty! I believe the towel was white, but the way I see it, it was light brown already (I wish i could attach the picture which i took). I promise, not to book that hotel anymore - ever! The worse part is, I called housekeeping, but to no avail!

The hotel is in a quite good location when you want to get around with the LRT. But when you want to book in this hotel ask in advance to see the room because some rooms are not in a so well condition or can be very noisy. At least the service team fixed all problems at the same day in my room. What I found strange is that there was be a requirement of a deposit in advance at checking in from it any additional services like laundry are be paid. The breakfast was a good and enough amount. The swiming pool is very small but at least clean. What is not true to the cabins directly outside.

We stayed in this Hotel on 3 occasions during out 2 weeks in the Philippines. Well situated, in walking distance to Ermita and some of the historic sites. Relatively quiet district, with less traffic at night.

It does not seem to be in a touristy part of Manila despite one attraction, the Paco Park cemetery attraction being right on its doorstep. Many taxi drivers on hearing the words Belen Street or Paco Park do not know where the place is and the nearest MRT/LRT line is about 400 metres away and not very convenient.

No free WiFi in rooms, No complimentary Breakfast, No complimentary newspaper - even though it was committed! Most activities are in Makati, and this hotel is in Paco, so unless you want to be in Paco, dont select a hotel there. Taxis simply refused to take me from Makati to Paco after office hours. I was told that there are hotels available (nearer to Makati) for $ 40 per night. The standard price of this hotel is much more than that. I got it at $45 cuz of Rates 2 Go. But if you compare rack rates, this hotel is more expensive than its counter parts nearer to Makati. So if you have work in the central business area, dont stay in Paco.

Next to Paco Park and cemetery, a delightful place. That is the only good thing I have to say about this place: staff consistently rude/disinterested, room windowless, hot waterless, cockroach laden--both dead and still breathing; considering it's not that cheap there must be better.

The staff were friendly enough and the hotel was comfortable, except for the very small size pool, but it certainly was not in the "heart of the action" as we had hoped. After a brief walk around outside after our 8:00 pm arrival, we grabbed a cab and headed to Makati some 30 minutes away.

We only stayed at the hotel overnight. However, I found the location of the hotel a bit out of the way. Not close enough to the airport to be convenient and at the same time, too far from the center and shopping. At best, the room was basic and clean. The staff were very helpful in booking our internal flights and helping us out finding phone numbers and flight times etc. Overall, the hotel was fine for a nights stopover but I will try to stay closer to the airport next time.

When asked for an extra towel, the houseman said I couldn't have any because they are accounting for each one. When I first asked for the charge of a long distance call I was given one price then, when I asked again I was given another price! No consistency in the knowledge of the employees. I was told that I couldn't make a collect call even though the directions are in the directory. When I asked again in a angry tone of voice they finally allowed me to call. No customer service! Amie however, was very helpful. I would recommend to others if the employees become more customer service oriented!

Carpet needs to be change or at least find a way to cover that nails because it hurts when you step on it. There are areas where it was nailed down to keep the carpet down. Need to find a way to keep living room cool without freezing the bedrooms. Need Microwave and Ice Machines for the tenants. This place is very good, especially the way all the staff treated everyone there. Breakfast complimentary is excellent. This will keep your business higher. Yes, we would recommend this hotel to our friend.

Very good and friendly place not to far away from prime tourist destinations in the centre of Manila and also no too far away from the airport. Very nice (and genuine) Swiss Restaurant which can be fully recommended. In front of the hotel lies a small Park (Paco Park), an oasis of quietness in the hustle and bustle of Manila.
