Galles Hotel Rome Guest Reviews
We have selected this hotel for its location close to the railway station Termini. When we wanted to check in, we have been told that due to a server/PC problem during the night, our reservation (1 room for 2A + 2 kids) )did not reach them ( Reservation made on e-bookers end of August !) However lucky us, we have the possibility to get a room in another hotel from the group, being the DOCK hotel, 4 stars, in a suite, etc.etc. The room was big, but nothing to do with an upgrade to 4 stars as announced: Breakfast room was so smal that 4 persons can barely sit around one of the 4 tables, you are called to collect your coffee/ drinks to the bar. you get some ants with cheese and bacon and you should pre-order your eggs at least the day before in case you would like to get one. No WIFI in this hotel, lots of big laundry bags in the corridors making the accesses not easy and not very friendly. Of course the location is much fathrer form the Station. Speaking with other's guests, we found out that we are not the only one being re-located here. Specially families with 4 people... Reasons given are different ( big unexpected Japanese group, etc.) If this is the way Galles Hotel consider its clients, then I do not recommend

Pleasantly suprised. This hotel is ideal for the termini. Our room was spacious and quiet.

A well presented, well located hotel. My room was smallish yet quite comfortable, the facilities were first class and the staff friendly and efficient. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, basic place to stay while visiting Rome, I would definitely stay there again.

The breakfast is quite poor. Contrary to what is noted on the website, there is no (outdoor) swimming pool.

Could have been a bar and the food a bit more creative.
