Everything is excellent except there is lots of ants in the room. Food is good, and ocean view is amazing.

As a bit of a frequent traveller, I was reading the reviews about this hotel and was a bit disconcerted by some of the comments, but my boyfriend and I still took the plunge and went to the GR Caribe by Solaris....and thank god we did - it was amazing!!! The service was incredibly attentive and friendly throughout all aspects of the hotel. The food at the restaurants (Veneto especially) was beyond comprehension everytime. The rooms were absolutely lovely (I would reccomend the ocean view rooms) and in contrast to some of the other comments, the beds were incredibly comfortable! The hotel is within a 20 min busride from anything you would want to do (the buses aren't as bad as you think). The only thing that I was a bit dissapointed with was the big hotel, Solaris. It was quite crowded and the food was so-so at the buffets. However, if you are staying at the Grand Royal (GR) Caribe by Solaris, it's like being VIP! You have constant access to the big hotel if you wanted, but people from the big hotel can't come to you. In summary, GR Caribe by Solaris hotel is the perfect place to have some high-class relaxation.

We arrived at the airport, and the Grey Line shuttle bus was waiting for us (we booked it as part of the package). they took us at the hotel, check in was very quick. the room was very spacious, clean, there was a small fridge, with drinks, water, beer and soft drinks (all included on the price). the food was excellent, a lot of varieties, desserts were sooo good. staff very helpful. They have nightly entertainment and live shows, very nice. You can take the bus (8.5 pesos per person) to go places. It was safe, no incidents at all. the swiming pools very nice and there was live entertainment during the day. we went to Escaret Park, the best experience ever. Overall, we had a wonderful time. I would recommend this hotel, a very good value for the price.

We had a great experience.a beautiful place.It's nice you get to use both resorts from Solaris.The staff are very pleasant & helpful.We got married there and they made it special.Rose petals in our room,everyday a new & beautiful decor of swans made from towels.We plan to go there again,anniversary!
