Fraser Place Central Seoul
3 out of 5

Location is very important to us when we choose the hotel. It was given that Fraser Place Seoul is near myeongdong but actually it is not. It's quite a walk, not just a mere 10mins. Given it is a four start service apartment, im really surprised that there's not much room amenities such as toothbrush, vanity set etc, it was not a cheap budget hotel. Also, they are very stingy on the complimentary bottled water. Just on the first day, that's it. The staff also are not helpful. They basically always answer "I don't know" when asked for certain information. What most upset us was that we called the hotel when on a taxi for the driver to check exact location as he wasn't familiar, no one answered the phone and thus, we were lost for awhile. How responsible is that to the guests. Very disappointing. I think also due to the holiday season, we had to Q up for breakfast and the food wasn't replenish due to high volume but not our fault we had to wait so long to find nothing much to eat.

Not as central as some but worth it for room size, facilities & cleanliness. Staff not so knowledgable on tours etc so do your research yourself. Also take your own adaptors as they are very limited in supply. Very handy for cheap airport bus. Would stay again.

Location. the airport bus drops and picks up right outside the hotel. However this place is slightly out of the way from the metro. It entails a 10-15min walk either to City hall or Seoul station. Other than that, because it is located near city hall, a lot of the sights can actually be reached by foot or metro. It is a great place to base oneself for sightseeing. Amenities. free wifi is a huge plus, even in rooms. Though we didn't really use these, it is great to have a children playroom and kids swimming pool. they also provide free shuttle buses to popular places like lotte mart on certain day. Coffee Bean just at the lobby Housekeeping. fully furnised kitchenette, even with a washing machine and dryer. We managed to do 2 rounds of laundry each for adults and kids in our week stay. Remember to ask for a drying rack to hang your clothes if you do not intend to use the dryer. daily housekeeping services despite what the website states. The ladies even wash up the dishes. fresh towels daily, toiletries promptly topped up. if you need a baby cot, please email them the request in advance. I am not sure if they have a non smoking floor of sorts. I did request for a non smoking room, unfortunately my floor has a mix of smoking room as well, so it stinks of smoke once you step out of the room door. Do ask for a room with a view, I did but unfortunately was given one with a view of the backlane and also of a low floor. I do suppose that a high floor and street facing room would be much more exciting. But since we were not spending much time in the room, it was not a spoiler. Breakfast.was an average continential buffet breakfast, nothing to boast abt but also nothing to fault over. Staff. knowledgable and helpful with prompt service Would definitely recommend this place.

would stay here again. Location is great especially if you`re coming from Gimpo, it`s a subway ride away. It is a 5 min walk from Soedaemun station. The studio room is large and has simple cooking facilities. The bathroom is quite small but there is a large jacuzzi facility with sauna you can use in the basement. Overall very happy choosing this hotel.
