Francis Hotel Bath MGallery Collection
4 out of 5

The Francis Hotel is in the ideal position to explore Bath. All the main sites are within walking distance. Hotels and restaurants are just around the corner. The rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. If you're driving their is also a carpark BUT at £15 per day the price is a bit steep.

Great hotel, the refurb is amazing, true attention to detail and luxury material, beautiful rooms and common areas - a truely great job. Very chic, boudoir boutique style Regency. Fab bathroom and 4 poster beds. Only let downs are the rediculous breakfast price (£20 pppn - should be half this max) and parking charge (£15) which as there are limited spaces they could add £1 to each room and class a first come first served.

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at the Mecure Bath Francis Hotel. The location is in the centre of the historical part of town and just a short walk to many of the locations we wanted to visit - the Roman Baths, Bath cathedral, Sally Lunns, Jane Austen, Royal Crescent, Highgrove Store and more. While the hotel is old and was once houses, this is part of its charm. Parking at the rear was a bonus as we had hired a car. We would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is well situated and the car park is useful - although parking is limited. We stayed in a downstairs room overlooking the car park - which was quiet but was not one of the refurbished rooms. The room required some updating - old t.v., carpets etc., although was large and was comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were helpful and friendly. I would stay at this hotel again.

The Hotel was in a great location in the centre of bath making it easy to walk to whee we wanted to go. we parked our car in the Mecure Bath Francis Hotel Car Park that was an expensive £12 a day and we had to vacate the car park when we checked out. I would therefoe reommended to those who will have a car to park in the Long Stay car park close to the hotel (Approx 3 min walk) that was a lot cheaper (from the hotel follow sigs for long stay parking) The hotel room we stayed in was clean and very well decorated. the bed was also very comfortable, but we found the room got too hot (we stayed in december) at night. small niggle was also that we only had TV Stations 1 - 4. we did not use the restaurant or bar so cannot comment on them. however we enjoyed our stay.

The service and location were excellent. Simple but well cooked breakfast. Only let down was the airconditioner in our room didn't work effectively.

The hotel is ideally situated and makes a perfect base. First floor rooms at the back are large but at the expense of bathroom space. Staff are friendly and efficient and the first come first served (payable) parking at the rear is welcome in such a traffic-choked city. Highly recommended.

A pleasant old-fashioned hotel. Slightly tired decor. Pleasant and efficient enough except at check-out time. It's particularly aggravating to be twenty minutes in a queue when time is precious. I'd stay there again mainly because I like its location.

The staff were very pleasant. On our first night we had a fairly small room but reception were happy to move us to a better room for our remaining three nights. Breakfasts were wonderful. We didn't dine in the evenings in the hotel but the menus were very good. The Francis is ideally located to explore Bath. If we had been one week later, we would have had an excellent view point for the Bath Half (marathon) as the hotel is on one side of the beautiful Queen Square. I thoroughly recommend the Francis.

This city centre hotel is ideally located for the shops, theatre and visitor attractions. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The restaurant offered good food at reasonable prices, we particularly like the threatre dinner option, where one had the main meal at 6.30 pm with the option of returning for the dessert and coffee etc., after the theatre performance - excellent. We will certainly stay there again.

Small room but comfortable bed. Surprisingly little street noise. Very good location close to the historic centre, restaurants etc. Towels were large and absorbent. Room service is available. Breakfast is OK but no fresh fruit. Dining rom is quite elegant.
