Versailles Climate
Versailles is generally mild and moderately wet throughout the year. The summer months are the best time to visit, with average temperatures of 25°C (77°F). Winter average temperatures drop to 7°C (45°F), and snow is rare.
Getting There & Around
Both Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport and Paris-Orly Airport have domestic and international flights to the region. The city is the main hub of the network of motorways in France. London is just over two hours away thanks to the Channel Tunnel.
Three train stations serve Versailles: Versailles Rive Gauche, Versailles Rive Droite and Versailles Chantiers. The main area of Versailles is easy to walk around, but there are many buses as well if you prefer. Bikes and battery-powered golf carts can be hired within the palace grounds.
