Vannes Climate
Vannes enjoys a very mild and dry climate throughout the year with only 66 cm of annual rainfall. Summer highs are about 21°C from June through September, and winter lows are usually 2-3°C. May and October are very pleasant with highs from 16-18°C and lows around 8-9°C.
Getting There & Around
You can access the city from the north by car via routes N165 and N166. There are high-speed trains from Paris to Vannes, but they stop in Brest to switch to regular rails. Ferries travel to the Brittany region of France from England and Channel Islands, and there are airports in the cities of Rennes, Brest and Dinard.
The most convenient option for travelling around Vannes is by car, but many people also enjoy bicycling around town.
