Mulhouse, located in Eastern France near the Swiss and German borders, is a town that is firing on all cylinders. Winter sees an average temperature of around 4°C (40°F), but it soon warms up in the early part of the year. Rainfall in Mulhouse is light, with an average of around 45 mm (1.8 inches) in the drier part of the year, which increases to around 100 mm (3.9 inches) during the summer. The best time for scenery in Mulhouse is the autumn months from March to May when the leaves fall and the sublime beauty of the area shines through.

Getting There
Mulhouse is accessible via the Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg International Airport, which is located about 22 kilometres (13.7 miles) southeast of the city centre. A host of European airlines from many different countries land in Mulhouse. Bus transfers are available from the airport to town, or you can take a taxi or hire a rental car. A rail line connects Mulhouse to Basel, Paris, Strasbourg and many other European cities. For getting around the city, there is a reliable tram service that will take you to the many available attractions. If that is inconvenient, taxis are plentiful. Guided tours are available to the local wine region and to the nearby Black Forest.
The Basel-Mulhouse-Freiberg International Airport hosts flights to Mulhouse from all over Europe.
A reliable and relatively inexpensive tram service is the best way to see the city.
