Eu Le Tréport General Information
The small Seine-Maritime communes of Eu and Le Tréport reside 4 km away from each other on the Bresle River. While Eu is nestled in a river valley, Le Tréport is located where the mouth of the Bresle spills into the English Channel. The small village of 6,000 people is a diminutive port and hub for light industry as a result. Eu, with a population of 8,000 people, is famous as the home of the elegant Château d'Eu and sits on the doorstep of a lush national forest. The main attraction of the Three Sisters area is, without question, the gorgeous Pays de Caux coast. This exquisite swath of Normany spans the vast majority of the Seine-Maritime department and is characterized by a spectacular line of chalk cliffs and bucolic sweeps of countryside. Within the towns themselves, Eu’s castle reigns supreme but other attractions like the Musée du Vieux Tréport (Museum of Old Tréport), Chapelle Saint-Julien and Collégiale Notre Dame et Saint-Laurent d'Eu emerge as worthwhile.
