I would not recommend this hotel those who peferr comfortable stay. Rooms are very small, bathroom is awful. Breakfest is served in very strange manner, you shoould wait to be seated and after that wait to be served. Location is good. 5 minutes walk to Little India district, 30 minutes walk to Colonial District and Boat Quyaes.

It is actually a convinient place. I have my comment that the smell of the toilet is not that good. It smell like the downspout of the pipe is releasing inside, the trap must be check.

I was once again made very welcome at the hotel. I did arrive a little earlier than I should thinking I would just leave my bags and head off for the day, however the staff found a room for me. For some reason I was not expecing breakfast for the price I paid howvever it included breakfast. I was very impressed with the the staff at the "Good News" cafe, very friends and remaind patient with some of the guests that I would have not been so patient. I don't know how many languages you can use to wtite "please wait to be seated" but a lot of people either could not read or just chose to ignore the sign and head off where they wanted. The staff were very good at handling this situation. I brought them a box of Chocolates for their patience. I had five days there and would have liked more hanging space rather than just live out of a suitcase but what more can one expect for the price, location and the friendly staff. I even got a chance to use the pool, what a great way to relax after a busy day. Great job everybody!

I chose the Fragrance Hotel Selegie over the Ibis, which was similarly priced, for the option of being able to use the pool. Unfortunately I didn't end up using the pool and I was disappointed with the small room, small bed, small wet room, and spot-stained blanket. On the plus side the room was otherwise very clean, the hotel is only a few hundred metres from Little India MRT station and taxis are very easy to catch right out the front.

As in a previous stay, I noted, and was well aware of the smallnes of the romm, however it was value for money, and I only slept in the romm, once the lights are out one cannot tell how big the room is, The bed was comfortable after a busy day in Singapore and that was important. I will stay again when next in Singapore providing the cost does not go up

I was put in a room without a window. Totally unaccepable. I really thought I was in a death trap. Lifts took forever to arrive.

I think this hotel is a great choice for a budget-conscious traveller like myself who wants to spend a short time in Singapore. The rooms are very small, but they are clean and offer all you need. The staff are courteous and helpful and the hotel's main advantage is its brilliant location. It is really central and provided the perfect base for me to explore the city on my first trip.

staff won't check u in despite room being available, then tell u there's no rm 2 store ur bags(b'cos the tiny space they have's full!) fortunately 1 nicer receptionist agreed to check us in ('as a consideration this 1 time')as we'd 2go 2 SGH n wouldn't b back until after 4.30pm. Double room's absolutely tiny -the double bed just fitted. no room for closet space. shower/toilet/washbasin is squeezed into a 1.5 x 1.5m2 space. has 15m pool on roof which was what swayed us to choose the hotel. once two kids came into the pool - not much space left to do any laps. we chose hotel for budget price and pool. fortunately we only stayed one night. will not stay there again. breakfast is in a small room - line up to get in at 7.00am - most are up b4 then as so uncomfortable to stay in the room. those who came in slightly later had to queue and wait for a table to be available. very stressed staff who do the best they can with the poor work conditions they have to work under.

I read all the reviews on this website and still booked this hotel. Yeah its small but I don't go on holidays to sit in a hotel room. As long as it has a bed, a shower and a toilet and the price is good, I'm happy. So if you are like me and don't go on holidays to swing cats around in your hotel room, don't mind stepping over your bags and love the convenience of being able to shower while sitting on the toilet, all at a reasonable price in a good location with breakfast included then this hotel is for you.

I was traveling alone and so appreciated the helpful staff, But the size of the room made my stay less than comfortable. I could not even open my case on the floor and had to lift it onto the bed for fresh clothes, there was no wardrobe in which to hang anything up just a coat hanger on a hook. the shower was over the toilet so if you showered then the toilet was wet for the rest of the evening! I managed as I was a lone but the room was designed as a double. The eggs at breakfast were fine but the chicken bacon was dreadful.

There is hardly any room in the Fragrance room. It is tiny. The TV is almost impossible to watch unless you lie down in your bed. As a suggestion, for a single and has no problem staying in budget rooms, the room is worth probably S$60/night, no b/fast. As a suggestion, dont have TV in room, invest in quality towels, roller blinds instead of curtains but have a common room on every floor with 2 TVs, with a basic communal kitchen and a good sofa set. I would recommend it for emergency. This is only my opinion and feedback. Tx

Bad: 1. Room was small but ok for solo traveller. 2. Not much cable channels. 3. Pillow was too soft. Good: 1. WiFi worked well and reasonable price. 2. Near to pubs and food outlets. 3. Walking distance to MRT.

The room is super small by S'pore standard for room around SGD 110 to 130 range. It's only worth half the price at best. Unless you one a hotel near Orchard Rd, else it's better for you to look elsewhere.
