We have stayed at this hotel in the past and loved the location and friendly staff. But this time, they told us our room had been given out, even though we arrived prior to check in time, and we had to be moved to a different location. All of our plans had been made around being able to walk to our destinations (restaurants, shopping, union square) and we were placed in their SOHO location right near the holland tunnel! For this, we were not given anything but $35 toward the $55 parking fee! Poor customer service!

Room was small, furniture prevented door from opening fully - room looked on to backs of buildings, windows filthy. (however this is NYC so understandable). Service was poor, breakfast was very basic. Coffee in the rooms but, inexplicably, I had to ask for sugar and creamer every day. The service really was very hit and miss - the hotel seems understaffed...
