Fortune House Hotel Miami Guest Reviews
It's nice to have an apartment for the price of an inexpensive hotel room, but the rooms are not particularly clean.

The problems with this hotel are many, and all bad. For starters the restaurant is small, and the food is not at a level where you can even call it "food". The room that I was checked into was billed as a suite, but it was really a dump. The was supposed to be a queen, but the mattress was a full size, and didn't even have a box spring under it. So you were constantly slipping to the center. The pillows were lumpy, and I guess they matched the bed though. Everything in the room came from IKEA, which gives you an idea about the quality of the furniture. The bedroom lamps were about 1 foot high, and the ceiling fan did not work. The door had been removed from the closet, and there were no hangers for your clothes. The television's did not work and there were no remote control's even if they did work. The bathroom had one of three lights burned out, and no fan to remove the humid air. The soap was a bar of "Irish Spring". Thank God the toilet worked, considering the quality of the restaurant food. The furniture in the living room was dirty, as was the dining table. The door handle and lock on the entry door was loose and moved easily, which prompted security concern's on my part. What's more, this was supposed to be on the penthouse level. I'd hate to see what the other rooms looked like, it this was a penthouse! I was supposed to stay two night's, but I checked out after one, even though I lost my money for the second night. My back couldn't take a second night on that bed, and my digestive system couldn't take another dinner in the restaurant. Rather than die a lingering death, I elected to leave before they could finish me off. Save your money, and your health! Don't stay here. A seasoned traveler,

I didn't like this hotel at all - it was actually a two bedroom suite which was FAR too large for just me on one overnight stay. It had a full kitchen, two full baths, two bedrooms (one had two single beds in it, the other was a king sized bed) plus a living room and dining room. There was also a patio with a weird obstructed view and one plastic chair on it. I know that all that space probably sounds fantastic and if I was staying with my family it would've been cool, but for just me it was ridiculous (I thought I was getting a one bedroom single room!) I can't really put my finger on why I didn't like this place - it was just very bare bones and cold. The bed was uncomfortable There were no amenities except shampoo and soap (don't forget your toothbrush or toothpaste!) and the staff seemed sort of deflated. I couldn't wait to check out, which I did at like 7 a.m. the next morning. I don't think I'll ever stay here again, even with my family! Also, I ordered room service - the food was terrible and way overpriced, which is to be expected but if you stay here don't order the Caesar salad.
