Construction noise from hotel sounded like a jackhammer IN our room at 6.30am each morning. Front desk staff were very rude and arrogant and told us that we were definitely told about construction upon booking (despite having booked through this website which mentions nothing about it). We eventually got moved to somewhere "without noise" but there was still noise there too. Construction is expected to go for another year or two, so I wouldnt recommend booking for a while until it is finished. The room was OK - not amazing, but not bad either. During my stay a few things went missing as well from the room. I'd stay somewhere else, like Caesars palace or MGM, where I have had good stays before. The flamingo needs to review the way it treats its customers.

There are in the middle of the strip. Good location for walk to the left and right of the hotel along the strip. Room is very new and clean.

When we arrived only smoking rooms was availible. I explained that my guest and I do not smoke and asked if it was strong? The Flamingo Rep said that would depend on how much the previous guests smoked. She offered to have the room "refreshed" by staff. Plus she gave us the strip view which was nice. No fridge, but a small bucket for ice. Free soaps & shampoo.

Well we arrived tired but excited to think "Bugsy" Segals Hotel and we are here, to meet our friends and get remarried! On arrival very tired after 15 hour flight, we found the hotel staff, in particular the women, were not helpful at all, soooo dissapointed, did not explain things, did not activate the cards so had to go all the way back to the resv desk and stand in line again to get them done, just not good enough at all. Made us feel like we were making them work. The room was nice, spacious, and clean however when booking we were under the impression the view should have been different, I have found with the booking system that the description of what you finally get is alot different than first impression, and the hotel make no bones about saying that. Got sick and tired of being accosted by the timeshare people and will not stay there again because of this, told them we were owners but everyday everytime we walked past, they get you, we spent more time trying to find alternate routes to leave the hotel so as not to come into contact with these vultures with there promises of free dinners etc etc but you have to sit through all these presentations. That was the worst thing about this hotel. I paid for the ceremony at the wedding chapel, they did not play the music we asked to have played, they overbooked so we had to leave abruptly after the service, they did not have the champagne for our guests that we asked for and paid for, and did not even have ours open, as we asked for, so all in all double checking does not work with this hotel, very dissapointed in that, as it was a special special day. So yes stay here if you dont mind timeshare sales people, and if you are not getting married, everything else was great, food, nightlife, casino, location, and yes would stay here again if it was just a holiday and not a function.

This is the second time we have stayed at Flamingo and we enjoyed it again. The check in line is still an issue here and we had a 45 min wait. The location is super, right in the middle of the strip and easy to access busses. The new express has a stop at Paris which is a short walk. We love the gardens and pool and there is now a food court off the main cassino. Our room looked at Caesars Palace fountains and we could see Bellagio fountains as well. It was a little noisy at night. We stayed 15 nights and would repeat again.

We were lucky enough, after a long flight from New Zealand and then Drive from LAX to the Flamingo, to be up-graded (without us asking) to a fantastic huge room with an awesome view over the Habitat Gardens. The Bed and pillows were so comfortable. The cleaning superb. A fridge would be the only other thing to make it perfect. The ONE downfall to this Hotel was the (for WANT OF ANOTHER WORD, Salespeople trying to lure you to Time-share conferences for Show Tickets which they clearly exaggerated in their value) They were very pushy and made for trying to avoid certain areas of the hotel........ shame

A Go strip view Room on the 23rd floor. It was clean couldnt of asked for better. Hotel itself had plenty going on. The pools were good as they had part for the young ones and for the older age also. The grounds were nice had live flamingos and other birds. I would book into here again and recommend it.

the Flamingo wont set your world on fire in terms of a new looking plush hotel. What will do it for you is its amazing location in the centre of the strip. The pool is also excellent and has a fantastic vibe.

It was a good experience overall. The problem was the room was one of the farthest from the elevators. They need some elevators on the far left and right wings of the hotel. I was disappointed that my request for a king was not met. The queen beds were very good and the request for adjacent rooms was granted, the was great!

While the room was comfortable enough, it was very inconvenient to get to. Our sheets were only changed once in our five day stay, and only after I complained. The drain on the tub was very slow, and a call to the desk resulted in nothing. We had to wait an average of 15-20 minutes for it to drain between showers. We had at least one pack of cigarettes stolen, apparently by the maid. Phone calls to the desk were frustrating, as there didn't seem to be anyone in charge. I heard the girl apologizing to the "assistant manager" for the phone call. The casino staff and cocktail waitresses were very nice and professional.

The hotel's location on the Strip was convenient but the location was the only upside. We booked on line and noted in the provided field that we would be checking in late. When we arrived they did not have the room we booked available so we had to change rooms the next day. They gave us a time period for changing rooms but they did not have our room ready in that time period. The line ups at the check-in are extremely long and the process is inefficient. Our room was fine but nothing special. There are no special additions like a fridge, microwave or free wireless. The $9 breakfast credit is only valid at the overpriced coffee bar. We were constantly harassed inside the hotel by people trying to sell time-shares. We will not return!

The Flamingo has been there a long time - their promotional material is quite right in saying it wasn't built on the strip, but rather, the strip was built around it. But, it has been regularly modernized and today is a contemporary stylish resort appropriate for everyone from the most fashion conscious college age people to elderly seeking comfort. They are presently modernizing their rooms yet again, although the not yet re-renovated rooms are still just fine, I stayed in one of the old ones a year ago and a new one last week. Aside from the expected casino, which is just an ordinary casino, the Flamingo's main attraction is a delightful garden of palm trees, with tropical birds wandering about, including an entire flock of pink flamingoes. All the birds and fish seem impeccably cared for and seem relaxed and happy unlike many zoo animals. There are also extensive pools throughout the garden. Please note that the pools are not in full swing until April, and the largest and prettiest pool is for people 21+ only and is un-heated, while the smaller pool for use by all ages is not as lavish but is very nice and is heated. The location of the resort is right in the middle of the vegas Strip, in short walking distance to many other major resorts and their attractions. Moreover, the Flamingo has a stop on the Vegas Monorail, so you can stroll directly from the resort to the monorail and be whisked to the far ends of the strip without having to pay a taxi. I find this to be a fantastic feature and it enticed me to switch to the Flamingo from the Excalibur, where I had previously stayed and enjoyed but was harder to get around from.

Great location, good rooms, great staff. Two exceptions - check-in is atrocious and food awful from restaurants to room service. But location just allows to eat elsewhere

The staff was very friendly and welcoming, from those at the front desk to those at the boutiques, restaurants, valet, taxi line, bellhop, maid services, etc. The location was perfect being right in the middle of the strip, an ideal walking distance from most hotels. The room was renovated and modern, with cute furnishings and comfortable beds. The bathroom was large and the multiple mirrors accommodated multiple people getting ready at the same time. The only amenities the room lacked were a refrigerator and a microwave. For the price I payed for the room and the duration of my stay, I feel the value was unbeatable. Overall great experience.

I recently returned from a stay early March and found everything at the Flamingo perfect for my needs. Granted, its not the newest hotel in town, but for the location, value, and overall needs it was perfectly fine. The staff were great, i got to check in a few hours before i was supposed to and my actual room wasn't ready but the lady found me a room right away as i had travelled from Australia and was extremely tired. It was a very casual hotel, easy to get around and not soooo big you couldn't find anything. The room was great, nice space, always clean and the maid service was always on time and ready when i returned to my room. I had everything i needed. As i said, its not the fanciest hotel on the Strip but i had much more money for gambling than if i'd paid to stay elsewhere and i could get to anything i wanted with easy reach of the hotel. Perfect spot. Would definately stay there again

Overall experience was fine. It just angers me that Vegas hotels always manage to tack on significant additional charges for nothing once I get home. Was charged an additional $115 from the hotel and I didn't spend a dime outside of my regular rate. Hate the Flamingo.
