The positive: The Flamboyant was a very reasonably priced hotel with access to an absolutely beautiful beach. Our room had absolutely stunning views both day and night. The buffet breakfast was good and once again included a view that is hard to beat. The negative: At $20 USD per person the buffet breakfast was relatively expensive. Our room was worn and not as upscale as we expected after looking at the resort's pictures. While we experienced no security issues our selves, both my wife and I felt uneasy about the secuity of our room. We both got the impression that security has been a problem in the recent past. The rooms are grouped 2 to 4 rooms per building and the buldings are situated on a steep hill side accesible by a maze of walkways that are open on many sides to the general public. While the front office was barred and well locked at night our room was not. The door and lock to our room was light duty. A solid door and a deadbolt lock would have helped us feel secure at night.

What stood out about the hotel was the service. The staff are excellent, friendly, extremely patient and co-operative. The quality of the meals was also quite good. Thanks to Nedd, Delorna and others for making our short stay memorable.
