Location
The First hotel is located in the commercial district, just 10 minutes drive to central train station and 18 minutes drive to World Trade Centre. This property is just 12 kilometres away from the Taipei Airport.
Rooms
The hotel offers 200 elegantly furnished rooms with finely sculpted redwood furniture that is uniquely Chinese. All rooms are cosy, warm, inviting, and comfortable with complete facilities and furnishings.
Restaurant
There are 2 restaurants, Pung Yuan and Ning Yuan serving excellent Chinese cuisine in town, there's also Teppanyaki restaurant available in addition, there is a nice coffee shop on the ground floor.

Location is very convenient. Service and breakfask is satisfactory. But don't expect too much inside the room, it's pretty old.

The hotel looks nice in the picture during booking but in actual is a very old building and outdated facilities. Toilet is rather dirty and you need to wait for sometime for the hot water Service at the hotel is quite poor, nobody even bother when you are walking in or out of the hotel. But is about 5 mins from the train station, that's the only advantage

The price is cheaper through hotelclub but the room they give is not as nice as the one when you book with the hotel itself.

Good hotel in downtown area. Very clean, with well appointed rooms and friendly helpful staff. My wife had previously insisted that we stay again at the Novotel near the airport, but after our stay here, she was very happy to have saved the price difference - half the Novotel price.
