Very friendly and convenient hotel in the Old City of Stockholm. Better rooms have view of the harbour. Small exercise area including sauna and small plunge pool. Excellent breakfast. Recommended

Very friendly staff and location is really great. The rooms are dark, some more lights would make it more friendly especially in winter. Overall nice to stay.

Pleasantand very hepful staff. Hotel gets A1 for cleanliness and quiet. It is ideally located for sightseeing, being close Royal Palace, main streets, city tour bus route and harbour tour dock. Many restaurants in streets behind the hotel. Only downside is the steps into the hotel-- manageable, but not easy for those with walking difficulties. That apart, I'd certainly go back and would certainly recommend to family and friends

The gym was not good, the tv small and old, and the room standard not more than ordinary. Great location! Running outside along the water is recommended.

Hotel was sought after on your web sight, accordingly purchased as 5-star. 1st room given to us was small, minute place to move between bottom of bed and wall, 1 easy chair, view to side of next building and dark. 2nd room better in all above respects - but the power point in the bathroom was loose and unuseable without falling apart. Reported to reception who needed to move us yet again. Much better room but cramped bathroom and insufficient wardrobe space for our needs. Two windows could not be adjusted since the restraining mechanism had no connection to the inner window part. Three of our breakfasts were held in the bar area - restaurant was being repainted. All hot items for the meal were luke warm to cold. With no doubt whatsoever NOT A 5-STAR HOTEL from our experiences. It could in no way be favourably compared with the hotel we stayed at in Barcelona and I honestly feel [this website] should not recommend First Hotel Reisen as a 5-Star hotel.

No air conditioning! it was really warm in the room. Because of a small window, there is not a lot o fresh air either. The rest of the hotel facilities and service was great.

The rooms were alot smaller than I had anticipated. We had a deluxe queen with a private sauna. The room was tiny. The door to the bathroom pushed up against the bed. The decor was somewhat old and scratched. For the price of the room, I was expecting a much higher standard. The sauna was nice but not worth the additional cost. The view from the room was gorgeous and the location was amazing. The prices for food and drink in the hotel was astronomical though, so don't order room service and check your mini bar! When I looked there was a bottle of white and a bottle of red empty! The staff are a little standoffish. If rooms need refurbishment but the space will always be an issue. I don't understand how you can call a room 'deluxe' when the door to the bathroom can't even open fully! I would go back but I would make do with a standard room. My friends were honeymooning there at the same time and their room with jaccuzi and sauna was no bigger but cost alot more!

Very courteous, friendly staff. Good views from some rooms although ventilation of room could be improved in older part of building. Excellent buffet menu. Dinner menu limited and did not change from day-to-day.

Very charming place indeed, and in superb location. Exceptional attention to detail There are some superior/deluxe rooms that have private sauna. There are plenty of interesting restaurants within easy walking distance. In short - a very good base for exploring Stockholm, especially Gamla Stan - but also easy access to Södermalm and, via nearby ferries, Djurgarden.
