For a riot of colour, make a splash in Suva at Holi, the Hindu Festival of Colours, in February.
Pick up some handicrafts and dance among the flowers at the annual Suva Hibiscus Festival in August.
For a veritable mixed bag of cultures, October’s Melanesian Festival of Arts and Culture cannot be beaten.
Share in Fijian pride, and enjoy Suva’s spectacular celebrations, for Fiji Day in October.

WHEN TO GO
· Summer Suva is hot and steamy, but the occasional afternoon rainstorm will cool things off.
· Winter is very pleasant, averaging 26ºC (79ºF), and is a great time to explore the city.
· May to September is when you will find the perfect conditions for an outdoor adventure.
GETTING AROUND
· Buses in Suva are very cheap, and run all over town.
· Taxis are also plentiful and inexpensive, a short trip costing no more than three Fijian dollars.
· Most of Suva’s attractions are relatively close together, so most visitors explore the sights on foot.
