Sun Coast Climate
The best time to visit Fiji’s Sun Coast is from April to November, when the weather is drier and temperatures are around 28°C. The summer months from November to March can get very hot and humid with unpredictable weather. Rainfall tends to be erratic, but heavy downpours are generally brief. Hurricanes or tropical cyclones can appear in the summer.
Getting There & Around
The only international airport in Fiji is conveniently located on Viti Levu in Nadi, and it takes about two hours to drive to the Sun Coast. Sunbeam and Pacific operate express buses around the island seven days a week. There are also major car-hire agencies in Nadi.
Taxis in Ba are plentiful, but watch the meter. There are also minivans that can take you from local town to town. Fares can vary as well as the amount of passengers they take, but they are easy to find.
