the staff was unbelievable...so kind and helpful...the food was good, lots of fresh fruit and the red snapper was devine....beach was soft sand, with great service and lots of fun activities...the water was rough while we were there but you can't control everything...would highly recommend this hotel, (great evening entertainment too)

We had a great time at this hotel. It was our first time at an all inclusive and for the most part we really liked it. The food was pretty good but I felt like the lunches were really lacking and they didn't have a great selection of mexican food. I was kind of disappointed about that. Overall I would recommend this hotel to others.

The entertainment staff go out of their way to be bubbly and make you and your family happy and engage the kids in dances and other activities. They also had a photographer wandering around taking pictures of guests posing with exotic animals like mackaws, a pygmy marmoset and an iguana. My 6 year old loved the wrap around pools with water fountains; the beautiful beach with huge waves and the kid-friendly food choices such as chicken nuggets and fries and hotcakes with maple syrup. He was also impressed with the pool party complete with a Mexican posada, pinata for the kids to break and get candy and the performance of the "fire dancers" twirling circles of fire as well as the show on Mayan rituals - painted warriors acting out hunting and battles. The "Michael Jackson show" was a bit of a let down though since we expected a professional performance but only saw male hotel guests in an ad hoc dance competition trying to moonwalk and grab their crotches. I would have given a 5 but for a few things - The laundry service is chaotic -- They wouldn't deliver our clothes until we paid first (not at check out like most hotels do) but they didn't tell us until we called 3 days later asking about our clothes. It was like the clothes were being held hostage until a ransom was paid. When we paid the reception, the laundry service had to check 5 times make a fuss over why we didn't pay them directly. Then, they only brought some clothes and we had to call 3 more times to get our clothes. When we finally got all of our clothes, we also got a teenage girl's GAP t-shirt thrown in and had to call them to pick it up and they claimed, due to the quantity of laundry they do, clothes get mixed up. The pools and jacuzzi are lovely but the water is icy cold in the pools and the water in the jacuzzi is only lukewarm...It would be nicer if the water in the pools was lukewarm and the water in the jacuzzi was warm. Sometimes the snack bar ran out of chicken nuggets or ketchup to my son's dismay. On the beach, the lifeguard was frantically blowing his whistle fearing if any guest ventures more than 1-2 feet into the sea that they would get swept away -- We know some people were careless in going too far out, but we were only at the fringes of the sea so it was a bit odd to have the "wave police" blow a whistle constantly. Also, although the room was nice and spacious, some paint was peeling off the tub and the plumbing in the bathroom and in the toilets near the pool were very noisy and sounded like they were groaning, farting and belching each time you took a shower or used the toilet. The hospitality desk lady who was to arrange our ride back to the airport was so pushy and talkative about the tours she could offer when we arrived at the hotel that my son was annoyed that his discovery of the pool and beach was delayed and she kept calling us constantly in the room to remind us to only book a tour with her. Since we had also encountered a similar lady at the airport transport desk pushing a visit to a "Mexican owned hotel" rather than our "Spanish owned hotel" to "look around and take pictures as well as do free publicity for that hotel, my son was particularly annoyed and said he didn't want to venture out of our hotel to do any tourism with the "chatterbox ladies". Nevertheless, we did relax and enjoy ourselves so we do plan to return to Cancun and to this hotel. I only wish my son had been willing to spend a little time at the kids' club so I could have used the spa and benefitted from a massage and facial that I would then be able to tell you about -- We both spent most our time together at the pool and at the beach or enjoying ther food and entertainment together and we never apart.

Im a young guy and didn't have a huge budget for my trip to Cancun but MAN am I glad I chose Fiesta Americana. Really convenient location, Aquaworld is right across the street, bus stops right outside the hotel (hint: get off before you go to far into town!). STAFF WAS AMAZING. A true Ritz Carlton type of service at Days-Inn Prices! I was just waiting for them to tell me certain things weren't included with the all-inclusive but NOPE! Everything was free, the finest liquors, great food. Every staff member will say hello to you if they are within 10 feet of you. They treated my GF like a princess! She was ecstatic! Hearts made out of straw wrappers, roses made out of napkins, truly a great experience. Bars were excellent. We got our room upgraded due to a miscommunication with the Beds but Cesar helped us out and got us an AWESOME ocean view room. Edwin was awesome. 24 Room Service is included too. If you are weary at all of going here DONT HESITATE! Cancun is awesome and fiesta Americana made it even better. Beautiful beaches with waiters on the beach, great shopping. BOOK NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
