Rooms are noisy and its more like a "slaughterhouse" where locals go for a few hours (if you know what I mean). Location is good but there's at least a dozen more hostals/pensions that will charge you the same and treat you with respect and courtesy. There are no words to describe my experience but these people will do anything to take that euro out of your pocket. They demanded I leave the key (some pensions do) and when I came back my luggage and belongings weren't the way I left them (no fresh towels, no cleaning, therefore no reason to go inside my room). Also raised the price while I was there with no explanation or reason and when I was unwilling to pay the difference, the owner quickly removed my luggage from my hands, hid it in a room and started screaming at me in italian (literally in my face), I was so terrified I paid the difference and ran out there. I honestly and objectively think that these people have mental/anger issues. I was insulted, yelled at and treated like a dog (even denied me a glass of water). They blame their poor breakfast and horrible attitude on "we are a 1star hotel" and "the italian way" but this has nothing to do with Italians, pensions or stars, even at the cheapest place you want to feel safe and respected and you won't get that here. Today I moved to a pension $5 cheaper and they're professional and friendly. YOU ARE NOT SAVING ANY MONEY BY STAYING AT THIS PLACE, YOU WILL REGRET IT.

Location might be convenient but staff was rude, unprofessional and dying to overcharge you: there's a price at the door, then the price the manager/owner gives you and yet a different one when is time to pay (the only legit cost is probably the 1 euro tax). Breakfast is 5 euros and its exactly the same you get any where else for FREE; if you're going to pay for breakfast the city has a lot more to offer than a dry croissant and cold generic coffee. I'm a low-maintance-frequent at hostals/pensions and I'd much rather spent the night at the terminal than deal with all the drama.

Our room was very small, double bed more like a king single, but ok for one night. Breakfast was not much at all. Shared bathroom was not too bad, but would have been a waiting problem if hotel was full. Walking distance from Firenze main station. Staff were friendly.

We were given a room apposite the reception , some tiles in the room are loosed and because the cement support is not even underneath them , the pieces near the door tilted when stepped on and when my wife opened the door , it was stopped half way by this tilted tile and the door slammed onto my wife's face. The hotel owner is also a little stingy, we were trying to refill some plain water for 2 botels with the capacity of 250ml each during breakfast and was scolded by the person in-charge telling us not to take the water.
