The place and the owners were absolutely charming. This is a special place. It is truely a fern paradise, and beautiful. Expect to be delighted. Don't expect luxury and lavishness.

We stayed four nights in late October at Fern Paradise. It has been our good luck to stay at some great places around the world. Fern Paradise is one of those really memorable great places. The rooms combine modern convenience and comfort with an exotic, rustic beauty. The facility is set on several heavily wooded acres on the outskirts of Chiang Mai. The owner is an architect and his considerable professional skills are evident in the rooms themselves, the construction of the resort and the landscaping of the grounds. It is all really lovely. The place is a family affair and they are wonderful. We had very enjoyable conversations and felt we made friends with some very nice people. If you want to learn something about tropical plants, especially ferns, and landscaping this is the place. The American style breakfasts we had were excellent and we ate dinner there each night. All meals were first class and the setting was beautiful. All in all this was a great place to stay.

Unbelievablely fantastic. A hidden gem, only about 15 mins to city centre, easy to take tuk tuk or taxi! The family who owns FP is amazingly wonderful and you will not regret this choice! A "True Thai" experience!
