Tucked away in peaceful open countryside and approached down leafy lanes of Hawkchurch, the hotel is just a mere 4 miles from Axminster and 5 miles from Lyme Regis as well as the Jurassic coast.

Very peaceful location, food was superb and the service excellent. It is certainly a place we would go back to.

We only stayed for one night but the view in the morning for breakfast was amazing. The place is very nice and clean and the people are very friendly, we really enjoyed our stay. Facilities within our room were basic but met all our needs.

The hotel had just re-opened with a new owner so was a little quiet but the owner and staff were very friendly, the food was good and the atmosphere that of a dinner party in a private country house. There were beautiful grounds and views from the windows. We enjoyed it and would certainly stay there again.
