The hotel is great. Very comfortable, great amenities and good value. We even took a shuttle to the airport at 4am, and they were accommodating. The only problem is that it is really tricky to get to. The address on the gps is not right. Even though you can see it from the thruway, its very complicated after that.

We stayed 3 nights on a trip to NYC. It was a bit of lengthy commute to and from the city (an hour minimum), but was fairly easy and still cheaper than staying in or near Manhattan. The hotel itself was fantastic. Fairfield can be hit or miss, this was a hit. Staff was great and very helpful, rooms were spotless and comfortable, free wifi throughout, and a good free breakfast spread. Free shuttles run every half hour to the airport, where you can transfer to NJ Transit for trips throughout the region. If you are visiting NYC and don't mind spending some time getting to and from, I'd highly recommend for these prices and amenities. If you're in Newark for business or other reason I'd stay here for certain.

The hotel is the standard that you would get for this price, but the the staff is absolutely stellar and make the experience worthwhile. To reach the hotel by car you have to make a sharp right turn off of the highway going to the airport.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and the room was very large even with a king bed. It was a good value for the amenities.

We needed a place to sleep for one night while visiting New York, this hotel was recommended . We did get lost trying to find it, but it was mostly from driving all night with no rest. The front desk staff was very courteous, helpful, and when calling for directions, extremely polite. Good size room, King bed was comfortable, bathroom did not have working ventilation, but the room had it's A/C. The jacuzzi and pool are clean areas, towels provided. The breakfast was OK, but not nearly enough places to sit down, ended up taking it back to our room. Very clean, and overall great hotel to stay at. Only a 10min drive to Downtown NY.

Great hotel...........except...... No place to sit down and eat dinner. I had to walk down the road to another Marriott hotel just to get a snack for dinner. (Food was very expensive!) Very difficult to get to. My taxi driver made at least 4 passes and u-turns to finaly get on the right road/ramp. I told him to pull over and I will walk to the hotel.

This hotel was very clean and the staff were terrific. Its not the 4 Seasons, but its definitely worth the value. It was clean, the breakfast was good and the staff were great. I recommend.

The first night we were there, my husband got stuck in the elevator. Although he eventually got out ;), they never fixed it for the rest of our stay. The hotel was full, and with only one elevator- it was a huge hassel to get to and from the room. The one working elevator was always filled to capacity, and often times you had to wait for it to go up and down a couple time before you could get on. We chose this hotel because it had a pool, and we have a son who loves to swim. We had planned to go swimming everyday, but sometimes the pool would be closed during "open pool" hours. When we asked about this- they would say it's for cleaning, or they just put chemicals in. I understand that needs to be done, but do it when the pool is closed- not during open hours! We found short curly hairs in our bathroom when we first got there- SO GROSS! Finally, they did not have enough tables for breakfast, and it was a fight every morning to get a seat.

For what we needed for a nice hotel, close to EWR and NYC, with good transportation links to both, the Fairfield Inn did the job for us.

the staff had a nice smile, the room was clean and the facilities in general were very new and clean. That being said, the location is a little out of the way (hard to find if you are driving) but if you take the airport shuttle it's super easy.

There are some areas in Newark, even around the airport, that is kind of shady. But, the location of this hotel was safe and the parking lot felt secure because it was fenced off and had an entrance/exit gate. The only thing about the location that was a little frustrating was that it is not walking distance from anything. But the hotel it self was very nice and clean. The free wireless, parking, and breakfast are pluses. The breakfast was not out of this world though, but they did have a belgian waffle maker, bagels, cereals, fruits, and some pre-made sandwiches. They had a little workout room with a few treadmills and even some free-weights in it. I really enjoyed the heated pool and the jacuzzi. The hours for the pool/workout areas are very flexible so great for the business travelers. The room was very clean and comfortable and looked nice. The only thing that I had trouble with, honestly, was finding a comfortable temperature in the room. Maybe that was my own fault though. Also, the TV was nice but the picture quality was poor. The staff was all very nice, friendly, and accomodating. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely return to this hotel in a heartbeat if I had to.

This is an airport hotel and also next to a freeway so there is a lot of noise all night. I requested a wake up call and never received it so I was late to the airport, The security lock on my door was broken, not good when your traveling alone. Cheap towels and toiletries. Having the schuttle was nice.

The staff was friendly and helped us get a ride to dinner, but when we had an issue with plumbing it took a while to get resolved - we checked out before anyone had come to take care of it. Shuttle was convenient & prompt, breakfast standard but good. All in all, I'd stay again if I found myself in need of a hotel at the Newark Airport.

Hotel was fabulous good location for our early morning flight. Only thing was there was no restaurant in site however you could go to the hotel next door to grab a bite to eat. It was also alittle hard to locate the hotel

Driving to the hotel is tricky. Its better to take the Newark airport shuttle to it and get the rental car after you check in. But, everything else are wonderful. WIFI works well, room is clean/spacious, OK coffee and simple breakfast. Driving to and from office and shops is not difficult. Staff are helpful.

I have to eat Gluten Free - it's not an option. The only food within walking distance was at the Courtyard next door, and the GF options were very limited. However, I had a great time with the rest of the lonely travelers. Also, the lobby was particularly well suited for the business traveler.

Once we arrived at the hotel, everything at the hotel was very good; friendly staff (for 3:30 am!) clean room; good breakfast. The wait for the shuttle at 2:45am was lengthy - approx 40 minutes. They need to work on that aspect. Although we used the shuttle, it is tricky to find if you are using a rental car obtain good directions.
