Fairbridge Hotel At Executive Wheeling Guest Reviews
Heater A/C unit was very noisy. The resteraunt meals could not be charged to the room, some of the staff did not understand english very well. Complimentary breakfast just sos so. The hotel said I could get the shuttle outside door 1 at Ohare, they did not say how far outside, there 3 street crossings. I don't think I will stay there again!

We were there to see family and friends, in the Fox Lake/Round Lake areas, so we didn't stick around to experience Wheeling. Although the signage advertized a smoke free environment, the hotel and room smelled like they'd been smoked in for years. Free internet was also touted, but the signal was so week, we weren't able to connect, even for a solitary second during the entire stay. The breakfast area was so small, that many had to get their plate and find another place to eat. Admittedly, this was a get what you pay for experience, so I didn't have high expectations, but I wouldn't stay there again.

The hotel was awful because it had a week that had been burned and the guy asigned very small room, ugly and full of bugs

We came in for the Pageant and just needed a place to sleep. We didn't expect the continential breakfast. That was a bonus! it was very good and held us until late in the day.

The name, location and photos of this hotel were the reason I booked it. I was there for a nearby funeral of a family friend. The 2 young women at the desk were pleasant and helpful, and the young man who made a special shuttle trip to pick me up at the airport are the only good things I can say about my experience at this hotel. The rooms smelled of carpet-embedded smoke from years ago (this was a non-smoking room). The first room that was assigned to me had not yet been cleaned and the beds hadn't been made. ok -- mistakes happen. The second room had been "cleaned", but smelled bad, the bathroom floor was sticky, it had old cigarette burns on the sink countertop, there were red stains on the toilet seat, the tub bottom looked like it had been scraped down to its (tan) undercoating -- it took some effort to want to take a shower. There were no drinking glasses or tissues in the room, and it was noisy in the hall at all hours of the night. I decided not to stay the second night and when I checked out after the first night, I told them that and asked for a one night refund. It was refused because I needed to give 24 hrs. notice. (I hadn't even been there for 24 hours!) Compared to previous trips ? The worst. I would never go there again and wouldn't even give it one star if I'd had that choice in this survey.
