I made a booking through this website for a family member that was visiting for Christmas, and made the reservation in her name, so she would be able to checkin herself for a late arrival. On arriving, the hotel staff would not let her check into her prepaid room, unless she could provide a photocopy of my ID and my credit card used to book the reservation. After nearly an hour of arguing with the staff, I had to drive down myself at midnight, and it turned out that the credit card that they wanted was not even mine, but was a credit card from this website. After calling customer service, all they could tell me was "this was just this particular hotel's policy, and not the norm." After a total of 90 minutes of arguing, staff decided they would let her check in, and "figure it out in the morning." This experience left me with several concerns. 1. This website allows me to book a room for a family member but the hotel demanded I be there in person (in the past I have booked ffor family that is on the other side of the country), 2. What advantage there is to pre-paying a hotel room if I am required to then leave a photocopy of the exact credit card that was used to book the room. There are 4 other hotels within 2 blocks of this site. I would NOT reccomend this site given the headaches the hotel caused for what should have been a 5 minute check in process.
