Extended Stay America Nashville Vanderbilt Hotel Guest Reviews
The hotel offers several room types through online vendors. We reserved and prepaid the more expensive studio with a king bed. On arrival, the hotel receptionist told us that the prepay agreement does not garantee a room type and therefore prepay costomers would typically receive a standard room with a queen bed. For all other rooms the hotel charges an upgrade fee to prepay customers. The room we had reserved was not available on our arrival date. We showed them a hard copy of our reservation, but they did not care, and encouraged us to call customer service number on the prepay agreement. After some painful negotiations between the receptionist, prepay-customer-service and us, the hotel agreed to switch us to a studio on the second day without charging an additional upgrade fee. On the first day we had to stay in a standard room. The hotel refused to refund the price difference. We felt betrayed. During our stay, the hotel management claimed to be unreachable. The hotel feels cheap: There is no shampoo in the rooms, the lines are changed only once per week, and there were drunk people talking loudly in the hallways at night, .... There is an extra charge for wirless and a large daily pet fee. I recommend this place if you a negotiations-professional or a lawyer, otherwise be prepared for bare-bone amenities, an unresponsive staff, an unreachable management, and some unexpected fees.

Room was not very nice, but it was the Lowest price close to Vandy.

Good contact with the personnel, correct for the price. The really bad point to avoid: the smoking rooms smell very strongly, impossible to sleep

Great location- convenient to Vanderbilt, West End and Hillsboro Village. The room was nice and the staff was friendly. It would have been nice if there were a pool, though, especially traveling in the summer. Overall, fine experience.
