The Holiday Inn is approximately 2.7 miles outside the city centre in a peaceful waterfront location. The local bus and tram systems make it easy to reach the city to enjoy the Arndale Shopping Centre, Manchester Town Hall and the Medieval St Mary's Cathedral.

One of the Holiday inn express chain hotels, reasonably convenient for Manchester Velodrome. Its out of town location and has security video coverage of the car park which is important with expensive bikes in the car. Free parking for the day is a bonus if getting a taxi in to town. Staff courteously, helpful and friendly dealing with minor room issues . Clean and well appointed facilities. Inclusive buffet breakfast fairly average though. Great price through Hotel Club. Recommended

Not so easy to find by car, as it was the case, as the hotel seems to have different mail adresses, wich may confuse a GPS. Very easy to free park altough. Near a McDonalds and a good Pub. The wi-fi rate is way expensive for nowadays, it should be free (6 pound an hour, 12 pound the 24 hour). The bed was too soft. The smokers alley is actually non smokers' , but you can smell it yet (tiny). A good average, modern, silent hotel.
