Ewa Hotel Waikiki, a LITE Hotel
3 out of 5

We were greeted by friendly and helpful staff and checking in was easy. Parking was an additional $15.00 per day and on first come, first served basis due to inadequate parking stalls. We had a one bedroom suite with kitchenette, two balconies, which provided ample space for up to three people. But the rooms were a little outdated but comfortable. There was only one elevator throughout which caused a lot of inconvenience especially during the morning hours while housekeeping were on the floors because of the minutes waiting to get the elevator. So taking the stairs would be the only other option. There was another hotel directly across being remodeled so sleeping in was problematic with all the construction noise. But a good stay nonetheless.

I chose this hotel because of the reasonable price on Waikiki - You get what you pay for. They put me in room 514 which to say the least was not in good shape. 1.The wall paper was coming off of the walls and stained. 2. The room stunk like BO and cigarettes. 3. The access panel above the shower was missing and you literally had to avoid the dripping rusty water as you showered. 4. Underneath the bed there was a used condom and a broken glass drug pipe - meth perphaps?

This place has a great location but that is about it. It is about two blocks from the beach and located at the end Waikiki. It is close to some good food places though.

Needed a good room in Honolulu at a good price prior to a 7-day cruise. Continental breakfast, good location, close to cheaper on-street parking and really nice staff. Mattress was really good.

Great Value. Everything you could need when you are one block from the beach, nothing fancy, just clean and quiet. I will be staying here again for sure! LGBT Friendly:)

I say that room is big enough and clean, but the beds are small and the hotel is old and a bit noise.

The EWA Waikiki had an excellent location--the end of Waikiki near the zoo and only a block or so from the beach. A major bus stop was only a half block away. The staff were friendly and helpful. The price (I paid about $70/night) was a good price for the location, but the room was like an early 1970s motel: very small, manual air conditioner, thin walls, tiny bathroom, old television with about 20 channels, no pool, etc. The free continental breakfast consisted of doughnut holes, toast, boiled eggs, orange juice, and coffee. I would recommend for someone who didn't want to spend a lot of money, but I wouldn't recommend for a family, a couple, or anyone who likes the pleasures of a modern room with spacious bathroom, tables, etc.

Ewa hotel staff were very helpful. THe foyer is quite modern, but the rooms are dated but clean. Breakfast was fine. Good value. They gave us an upgraded room and were fine with a check in after midnight.

Great location, right across from the Zoo and a block from the beach. Its an older hotel with some recent remodeling completed. Not a lot of amenities (no room service) but the place was clean, the bed comfortable, and the staff very friendly.

Was very pleased with accommodation. Walking distance to everything (ABC stores, bus stop, tour bus collection, beach, restaurants, etc), clean & comfortable rooms, courteous & polite staff. We went island hopping for 10 days & returned to the Ewa once back in Waikiki as we were pleased with our first stay.
