Be sure to ask for a larger room. Our first room was very cramped and small. On our return to Barcelona, we asked for a larger room which was much more comfortable. (ending in -07) Great location close to metro and walking distance from some sites.

The Rocafort is a good hotel. Location wise it is situated nicely near Placa Espanga and two main avenues that lead into town. Very close to metro station Poble Sec as well. The only really negative of the place was that the hotel seems poorly lit, our room was dark, and came with a tiny window, hallways as well were gloomy. Other than that, friendly staff, good breakfast and lunch, good internet access... We would stay there again.

The Hotel was the perfect base from which to explore barcelona. It is very close to some fantastic restaurants that do not break the bank and within easy walking distance of las ramblas and some of gaudi's amazing archetecture. The rest of the city and the beach is a taxi ride away.

Overall, a good value for the money. Two minor limitations- no printer at business center; CNN, is the only TV program in English.
