The only drawback was the steep hill to climb back to the hotel from town. Friendly and efficient staff

Stayed for 4 nights in this excellent hotel for a short break it was simply excellent , the room was spacious and well equipped fantastic shower! It was very quiet unlike many of the the other big hotels we saw which were close to main roads and traffic- we found a number of excellent restaurants some recommended in guide books within an 10 mins walk - there is a hill near the hotel which could be awkward for some but made no impact yo us - all the major sights were within easy reach - the service was excellent throughout our stay and unusually for a capital city the hotel bar and food prices were very reasonable - would definately stay here again and am happy to recommend it to others

The [website] price was excellent; the price posted on the room door outrageous. Stylish and comfortable, terrific shower, great location for the Cinemateca and the Bairro Alto, needs better reading lights, better selection of TV channels and a less sterile lobby area, but if you can get a good price, go for it.
