Europa Hotel Gatwick Crawley Guest Reviews
Old hotel in poor condition. Beds very uncomfortable. Would not recommend for more than an overnight/transit stop. Cheap for the area though and does have free parking - if you can find a space.

This is a very tired hotel that needs refurbishing. The decor is very 1970s and badly needs a facelift. However, it was adequate for an overnight stay. I made a mistake with my booking and arrived a day after the booking. Whilst I lost that payment the staff offered me the 'repeat visitor's rate' which did save a bit. The restaurant was OK but I felt it was overpriced for what I got, but of course anything in £sterling is expensive in $AUD. There is a 24 hour shuttle service to Gatwick which is quite a distance so allow plenty of time to get there to catch your flight.

The restaurant and associated bar should have a common cash till; two bills, one for food and another for drinks is very inconvenient.

Cost is the key factor for using this hotel if flying out of Gatwick. However car parking was a problem as car parks full of long stay holiday makers leaving no room for that day's guests.

The hotel was in a good enough location for Gatwick Airport and on the whole it was comfortable enough. The restaraunt was just ok and so was the service. Fuzzy local TV on a tiny screen was funny, and the carpark was a pain. As a place to bed down at a budget for Gatwick, it works. For romance, a good dinner, or a little luxury try elsewhere.
