We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the main train station -- side entrance literally across the street from the hotel. The location downside stems from the people that frequent the neighborhood. While we never felt in serious jeopardy, walking in the area at night would not be recommended. The desk clerks were generally OK, but not particularly helpful in solving in-room internet issues (it didn't work) or recommending nearby eating places (they always pushed the hotel restaurant, despite its rather limited choices) . Breakfast offerings were above average and included with the room. Internet was available in the lobby -- either on the hotel computer or on our own laptop. Other hotel staff were quite helpful.

very close to rail station but not nice nearby area. Peoples are very friendly & helpfull. Breakfast is good. Did not have English TV.

Not very suitable for a family with kids, stay away. For adults only I guess its OK.

The Grand Europa had everything we needed. It was located in a bit of a seedy area, right next to Napoli Centrale Train Station, but at the same time this was convenient for our early morning departure via train. The hotel was quite comfortable.

Stayed there in April 2006. Its beside the train station in Naples, about 200 meter walk. The area around the train station is fairly rough. The hotel itself is clean, and of a good standard. Good base to explore Pompeii and easy enough to get to the bay of Naples by tram or taxi. Overall We were happy with the hotel.
