Location
The Estalagem do Convento Hotel is located next to the entrance of the walled city of Obidos, surrounded by traditional buildings with white outer walls and blue edges. The Estalagem used to be a monastery and its construction dates back to the medieval times.
Rooms
The bedrooms are spacious, traditionally decorated and have retained the original furnishings, belonging originally to the nuns. The beds are cast iron framed and there are hand painted furniture's.
Restaurant
The restaurant is an extension of the building but are built and decorated in harmony to the rest of the building. The cuisine is traditional, very well presented and serves a wide choice of wines.

Everyone was great and the restaurant was really nice. The only problem was that there are lots of stairs and no elevator. Well worth it for the ambiance and location!

Beautiful hotel room and view from the window. Only problem was that I came in November and was really cold in the room.

It is not possible to check-out untill 07.30. It is a problem if you have en early fligth from Lisboa and if you are not aware of that.

Facilities were poor - the dining room and bar facilities were closed which was not known when booking. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. Very noisey during the night

I would highly recommend this hotel for the charming town of Obidos. Location and atmosphere can't be beat.
