Est Hotel Paris
3.6 out of 5

Very basic room, no shower curtain in bathroom and the decor of the room was dark, dated and gloomy. Also the room was small given that it was a triple. It was quiet though which given it central location was a big positive. 3 stars is a very generous rating for this hotel. I would say it is struggling to get to two stars. The staff is friendly, including the black labrador dog at the reception1

No coffee or tea making facilities in room and notices saying no food or drink to be taken into rooms. Apart from this the room was spacious and adequate for a couple of nights and close to metro and Gare Du Nord station.

A real standart hotel, but enough to stay for the night. The bathroom/shower is very small. The most important: it is clean!

well situated close to both of the main stations (Est/Nord) but it is popular with young tourists and has a tendency to be noisy. The facilities are basic but if you want a cheap and cheerful city break in Paris you get what you will have paid for.

Very reasonable for the price. Situated within a short walking distance of the Metro and Gare du Nord and Gare d'Est. The rooms do not have AC, so it can be very noisy with the windows open. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

The location is good. Quite clean & people are friendly, able to speak english. However the price is a bit on the higher end as the rooms are small & breakfast below average.

Clean rooms, friendly staff and good location near Gare L'Est and Metro Station (5 min walk). Ethnic restaurants in the immediate area. Small rooms, though comfortable beds, good value for the money. Continental breakfast somewhat minimal but adequate.

Walking distance from Gare Du Nord & Gare Du Est train stations. Magenta Street is busy and therefore a little noisy. Service staff were great. It appears some rooms are under renovation so things should improve.

The star system in France seems vastly different than the UK. Officially a 3 star hotel this pleasant but unremarkable hotel would not get 3 stars in many other countries. A perfectly acceptable hotel for a night or two but you would not want to spend a substantial length of time here given its mundane furnishings and decor.

The room is old and the door seems to be able to break down anytimes. The breakfast is bad. Near to the train station.

Staff is good and it speaks english, elevator to the rooms is not very big. Its location is the best part. Breakfast served consist of Begutte, crosiant , cornflakes and juice, in other words cold breakfast. There is Indian resturant next to it for decent lunch and dinner, not very expensive.

It was a 3star hotel at the level of a 2star hotel. I cannot suggest anybody take room there.

We had a twin room. It was compact, with good soundproofing, comfortable beds. The shower nozzle didn't reach the hook on the wall, so only a bath or hand-held shower was possible. We had bikes. The hotel allowed us to place them in a secure yard, but there was no weather protection. The location is not near tourist attractions, though is near two major railway station complexes and restaurants. The value was aided by free breakfasts, though this may have been a temporary promotion. The staff were friendly.

good location, but a very basic room with poor quality furniture, by no standards should be a 3 star, should only be a 2 star. No shower curtain, so making bathroom all wet with one shower, not even a power shower. was hard to find even a power plug in the room. Would not recommend to others.

The quality-price ratio is good. The breakfast is modest but rather good - you get the second or third cup of coffee, too.

Service and cleanliness were perfect. Also is its location, about 300 meters from the railway-station. Only the breakfast is typical French and could be improved by turning it into a continental breakfast or buffet-breakfast. A great hotel where we will surely return the next time we visit Paris.
