Empress Hotel Xi'an Guest Reviews
Hotel is big, well kept, rooms are spacious with free internet access. Hotel seems to cater predominantly to Chinese business men. Staff's English is limited. Our room rate inc. breakfast buffet (huge and delicious with a mix of warm and cold Continental, American and Chinese breakfast dishes, cereal, salad, fruit, desserts). We had cockroaches in our bed- and bathroom and were upgraded to a business room with a desktop computer. Received a small complimentary fruit basket. It was a bit difficult to complain, due to the limited English knowledge of the staff. Hotel is a outside the city center and it takes about 10 min by taxi to get in (10 RMB). Assuming that our cockroaches were just bad luck, I would still recommend this hotel for its nice rooms and the amazing breakfast buffet. It think the quality of this hotel compensated the 10 minute ride to the city center. Terracotta Warriors tours will pick you up at the hotel.
