This hotel is deceiving. When you sit in the court yard of an evening and overlook the river you could be in any city of Europe. The rooms are terrific and the staff wonderful. Well located and with a travel agent at the bottom of the stairs you can't go wrong.

A delightful villa style hotel around a courtyard with patio tables & chairs overlooking the lake. Easy walk to the local market. Sadly the lake was drained for cleaning (occurs every 10 yrs for 6 mths) -but it will be lovely when complete & this is an idyllic spot. While clean -a little attention to detail would be lift it's rankings -there was a broken light fitting left on the bedside table and some of the other lights didn't work. The staff were helpful tho & esp restaurant staff keen to assist. We also booked an excellent tour of the area which was the best value (compared to one we booked privately)

I stayed here because other hotels were full and wanted to be somewhere near the lake. It's a great location, and a nice old building. However the room was tired and in need of a facelift, and smelled musty all the time. I had an Empress Suite as that was all that was available. It is not really a suite, just a bog room with two TVs. Nice big bathroom with jacuzzi, but all the fittings were loose and/or leaking. The price for this was ridiculous ($131). Probably the worst value for money of any hotel room I have ever stayed in. If a location near the lake is your primary criterion, and you can get a standard room at a sensible rate then this is an option to consider.

Very nice and efficient manager (Mr Dung),very good location overlooking the lake.Onoly not recommended to elderly or asthmatic people as you have a lot of stairs to climb to get into the hotel !!!!..
