Staff at the reception and the restaurant were all very helpful, friendly and professional. The hotel is far from the city centre, but that's not an issue at all in Siem Reap because most people hop on a tuk-tuk as soon as they step out of the hotel. You can hire a tuk-tuk for the whole day (around US$25) or pay per trip to go to the city centre (US$2-3). The hotel also has a shuttle bus to the city centre, but it's not very frequent.

One of the best hotel we stayed at for 5 nights.The location 5 minutes from the airport ,we had hotel pick-up / return. Taxis are $7 to hotel, Tuk-tuks to city cost $3 ,10 minutes away. The foyer is amazing with incredible decor and friendly staff to greet and look after you. The buffet breakfast was excellent . The room quite large and comfortable (pillows a bit hard) with balcony over looking the pool. I highly recommend this hotel

The hotel offers a relaxing environment with everything i needed such as free wifi everywhere within the building. The only downside is location - the pub street and markets are not within walking distance. But the hotel has free shuttle services to town - one around 6pm and the second one around 8.30pm. The last return shuttle was too early for us (about 9pm) so we never used it.

This was my first visit to Cambodia. The staff at the Empress Angkor Hotel, Siem Reap were extremely welcoming and made my visit a very good experience. A lovely hotel with a Cambodian-style decor with a sweeping staircase leading to guest rooms. I felt extremely comfortable at the Empress Angkor Hotel. Their evening shuttle service into town was good - particularly useful for those travelling alone. The advantage of staying in this hotel is that it is not in town. Good insomuch the tourist is not overwhelmed by other tourists strolling the busy city streets. Tut tuts are readily available outside the hotel. The driver and guide I used for visits to the temples were friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this hotel for the traveller who likes comfort and privacy. I congratulate the manager and his staff on making my visit so enjoyable.

A beautiful hotel, with attentive & polite staff. Spacious, comfortable rooms with excellent wifi capability. Location is about 10 mins from central Siem Reap, quiet & peaceful. Hotel shuttle bus is available in the evenings, & there are excellent tuk-tuk waiting near the hotel entrance - especially Savot, tuk-tuk 3, he is a safe driver, obliging guide, very friendly & won't rip you off (& is much cheaper than the taxis). The large pool is fantastic, beautiful garden setting with a terrific cafe. The hotel also has 2 other dining areas. I spent 5 relaxing days at The Empress Angkor & thoroughly recommend it.
