Room was a good size but very tired looking. Needs a great deal of attention

Fantastic, as I got a great deal through ratestogo and the room was comfy and clean. The only downside was there is no room service, however you can order in from heaps of places nearby. There was an issue when the toilet started making an obnoxious sound, but the staff sorted it quickly and efficiently. All in all, a good hotel.

My partner and I had a good experience at the Empire Landmark. The price was more than reasonable based on the location, service and cleanliness. The location was walking distance or just a bus ride from tourist locations such as Stanley Park or the aquarium. The view of the city was very nice. My only suggestion would be a kettle in the room. This hotel provided all the amenities and more for a relatively low cost.

Close to cruise terminal. Staff not overly hepfull. We stayed there because they have a Hertz location and we wanted to return a car. I know it is nothing to do with hotel, but Hertz say they are open till 12.30. When we arrived at 10.30am they were closed.

-Amazing view of Vancouver. -Rooms are decent. Beds were nice, but carpet was old. This hotel needs to be renovated. -Staff was rude, there was no sense of urgency. -There is a $15.00 charge for parking when you check in.

I stayed on 31th floor, so i could see the magnificent view. In addition to this, the amenities made me comfortable. The room keeps clean.

the moment you enter the hotel you think I have made a great deal, but after leaving the elevator and entering your room... You think twice. It is not bad, but it is a disapointment after having seen the lobby. They have to paint and redecorate. But if you have already booked, go to the topfloor to see the views. Till that moment stay at the best western at Granville street.

Came here mainly because of the location, but then when arrived seen a few other options that seemed better. Parking is not free, and isn't even clean at $15 a day. Half of the rooms are right in front of the elavator doors so people getting on and off will wake people up, not to mention the smells in the hallways. The room is much smaller than the ones in the picture. The bed was like sleep on the floor. The bathroom had 2 towels, a timer that occasionally worked and the whole room had one outlet in the restroom. No free internet is available in the area at all. The hotel has a few unsecured accounts but no connection. The hotel wanted $8 a day.

I was surprised to find a hotel that cheap in downtown Vancouver, so I booked it. The front desk employee was really nice. I went up to my room on the 37th floor, and I could smell bleach smell on my way up there. The room had outdated furniture (although the TV was a new flat screen). The mattress was uncomfortable, and I had a shortage of pillows the whole time. The view from the balcony was amazing (you could view downtown and the harbor area). I walked everywhere I went from Stanly Park to Gastown to Yale town

Great view but room was rather shabby and very small. Bedding was okay. Bathroom needed updating as did the room.

I had to call 3 times to Orbit to get my friends name on the room. To where it was finally done after spending about 40 mins on the phone. Not counting the time my friend had to sit in the lobby waiting to go to the room. Would of loved to have a kings size bed which was not even offered. When I arrived at the Hotel I had to wait at least 25 mins to check-in for where a tour was checking in at the same time. I felt the hotel was under staffed. Over heard the team member that was busy helping another guest check in just complaining about his job. Had to run down and pay for the internet service to which we had to call the help line for no one at the hotel could help us set it up. Location was good for great restaurant in the area. I would really have to think twice to stay here again.

Check-in was not as seamless as expected. No desk for group check-ins. Location quite central and waterfront areas easily accessible. Good public transport at front door. Pricing was a bit high for what was delivered.

The location was excellent, close to eateries, shopping mall and waterfront. We wish we could have got the hotel package that included breakfast in the revolving restaurant as well as dinner as otherwise it is not worth eating there. The views were stunning from the high floors. However the bed is awful, after staying at other good hotels you can really feel the difference. The balcony was a little neglected and looked it. Service was indifferent. There was no answer when I rang the front desk before 10 pm and housekeeping was also non-existent. Overall, the hotel is only worth it if you get an excellent rate.

We are young and really don't have a problem when it comes to 'roughing it up' but for the amount we payed, this place was a joke. We thought we would get a nice place to stay for one night while passing through. Firstly we were told we didn't have a booking even with email proof on my phone. A printed receipt and 45 mins later we managed to convince them of our booking. We got a room with a single bed, there was still rubbish in the bin and after a month of travelling I was looking forward to relaxing in with a movie, however my laptop screen made the TV look like an ipod. I just realised this sounds really harsh but honestly I wish I had realised before we booked. This place is definitely a roof over your head but really don't expect much apart from it's good location. Even the guy on the front desk was a real creeper.
