No toilet paper, messy kitchenette, broken TV. Bedroom however was clean and tidy.

I needed to call a cab & rental car and the staff member sent me to the corner store to call from there and then the guy at the corner store told me to go to the next hotel and they help me with everything i need to do with getting a cab & car. Empire customer service was not up to standard in assisting someone when they needed help.

Do not stay at this place I have to say how disappointing my stay was with this place. I had stayed at the hotel before - four years ago and although the service was a bit minimal the room was pleasant with a nice outlook. As I was looking for a budget stay for two night this seemed a good idea What a disaster. The greeting was atrocious, bureaucratic and unfriendly. The hotel was full of university students who were noisy and some were quite obnoxious. The room stank of mildew. The toilet had a chronic leak which was probably why there was the musty smell. I was on the 18th floor. The lifts took forever to arrive and there only seemed one working. The outlook was into a another building - which I didn't mind too much as it was at a bargain rate. TO use an iron one had to use the laundry and forfeit once drivers licence for the privilege - The Saturday night was particularly bad with marauding university students who were obviously drugged and drunk.

If you regard this accomodation as student or backpacker accommodation you should be reasonably happy with this 'hotel'. Definitely not to be compared to any classy establishments. Service is pretty laid back LOL!
