Elite Hotel Taesch Guest Reviews

3.4 out of 5

We wouldn´t go back here in a hurry. The hotel only seems to be interested in you if you are part of a tour and from Japan! We also had a power shortage for a couple of hours during the early evening with no answers as to why and if it was coming back on at all. The staff just sat around talking. Also couldn't eat in the room - far enough but again we were givin the run around as to where we could eat in the dining room as "these seats are for the tour groups" for what you pay, you may as well catch the train and stay in Zermatt itself!!!

An overpriced bacpackers hostel rather than a hotel. Breakfast was appalling, service minimal. Charging an extra 5% for using a credit card was rather excessive. Our room had a lace curtain on the window which faced the street - no privacy! Also it was very noisy as it faces the main street across from the train station.

The management of this hotel were so friendly & extremely helpful with items of interest locally that we should visit. We felt that we were special tourists whilst staying at this hotel. We would recommend this hotel to any visitor in this area.

This hotel is just a 10 minutes away by train from Zermatt. It's a nice little town in a remote area. The best thing about this hotel is its distance from the Taesch train station. Once get off from the station, we can just walk less than 10 minutes there. Zermatt is a lovely town however; accomodations are difficult to find and kind of expensive. We were not that serious to stay in Zermatt, so staying in Taesch was an okay for us. The hotel has lots of Japanese clients so we could find Miso soup and rice for breakfast. The hotel is somewhat clean but little worn out. For the price we paid actually was too high for the hotel standard but given to it's location, around popular area of Zermatt, the price paid might had been reasonable.
