We spent 4 nights at Element on Easter week New York Prices all get raised from the Sunday before Easter Element was still a great deal We have stayed in New York before and compared the old hotels that we have stayed at on previous trips. These hotels were almost the same price as Element and they are OLD -- some may like that but we prefer new and modern styling The room we stayed in at Element was small but it included a great bathroom, A KITCHEN, a desk, a King bed, a wardrobe and a couch -- All up to date and well styled. And Guess what? We had windows!!! We were on the 39th floor and had a great view of the Empire State and Hudson River -- Magic!!! The hotel we stayed at last time had a window facing inward, a hanger, no kitchen, no breakfast, no couch or chair and we could hardly fit our suit cases in the floor to open them We were aware that breakfast was included at Element but were surprised to find that they provided smack food, wine and bear each week evening. After a drink and devouring the snacks we needed little for dinner. Coffee was available in the reception all the time. The staff at the desk were very busy but still seemed to find time to look after everyone. The concierge service was great -- booking airport transfers and providing any advice The hotel is in the Garment (Fashion District) a short distance walk Times Square, Central Station and the empire State Building. The Metro is also close For the business person the flat screen TV may be connected top your computer and turned to face you as you sit at the desk.

After 3 weeks bouncing around the country on business travel, I cannot tell you what a relief it was to see a fridge and a microwave in my own room. And a little tiny stovetop too! The next time I'm in new york I'll be sure to try to get this hotel again.

The location is convenient to Times Square, though not right on it, and there is a Metro station less than a couple blocks away. The hotel is minimalist, but not with the same savvy as a W hotel. The room is nice and ours had a kitchenette with a full sized fridge. Ours was a handicap room so not sure if all are that way. Two minor issues: There is an area rug under/around the bed that was curling up and we both almost tripped on it several times. Also, the room doors are very heavy and make a big noise when slamming shut. We always knew when the neighbors were coming and going.

the Element isn't fancy but it has great amenities and it's in a very convenient location. We stayed in a unit that had a small kitchen which was awesome. Slept great on comfy bed. I would stay there again.

Excellent location if it is the theater district you have in mind! Very close to Broadway and everything else around there. Staff is very helpful. But the street itself is a bit unattractive especially at night. The lobby is very busy and noisy so we could not fiind a spot to even sit and relax in the lobby! And the breakfast served in the lobby itself can be quite a feeding frenzy in the morning when all guests descend on the lounge area at the same time. Elevators also take forever. Overall a decent proposition for a night on the town but I would look for better options next time..

Arriving at the hotel we were pleasently surprised to see a beautiful lobby, and it did not dissapoint. Easy check-in and then we were in our room which included its own fully furbished kitchen. This included a sink, plates, cutlery, dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle and large fridge. Add to that the beautiful bathroom, lounge chair and queen bed, it made for a great stay. We were able to have our complimentary breakfast, check-out and walk straight into 'Times Square' and use the close subway system, while the staff held our bags for us until we had to leave New York. A fantastic place to stay and I will definately be using it again.

Had a great time staying at the Element in New York. Hotel rooms were very clean and beds were super comfortable. Rooms have everything you need, full sized fridge, stove, sink, dishwasher, heater and a/c, clean bathrooms and much more. Staff very friendly and answered any questions without a problem. Location can't get much better for the quality and price. Few blocks away from Times Square, Empire States Building, many restaurants and the harbor. Highly recommended to anyone planning a trip to New York!
