Eighth Avenue Inn Seattle Guest Reviews
Older Hotel but location is good.

We stayed in May 2009 and found it to be fairly close to facilities. The free bus zone is two blocks done, however the buses only run along third and fourth avenue so you really need to walk approx four blocks from the hotel. The staff seemed pleasant. the rooms are a bit stuffy but are a decent size and clean. Good value for money. I would certainly recommend it if you are on a budget and wanted to be still close to accessing downtown Seattle.

I was told that I could use free wireless internet connection but the room I was stayed was in the corner so the signal was too weak to connect. Except that, it was not that bad.

One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was the free wireless internet that was supposed to be available per Orbitz. Upon check in I was told that the server was down and would be down my entire 3 night stay and that they were looking into getting a new service provider. Their facilities need updating as their lobby furniture is old and the carpeting looks very old as well. Everything in the room seemed clean and it was worth staying there as the price and location was very good. Their free continental breakfast was much better than I would have expected as they had just about everything including bagels, hard boiled eggs, warm cinnamon buns, cereals, toast, coffee, etc. The front desk people were very friendly and helpful and if this hotel ever decides to get the wireless internet working and update their facilites the place would be even better.
