Dahab Climate

The weather is generally pleasant year round in this city, with mild winters and summers whose heat is often ameliorated by ocean breezes. Summer temperatures can reach 40ºC in July. Minimal amounts of rain fall during the winter and virtually none falls during the summer months.

Getting There & Around

The area is served by Shark el-Sheik Airport. A bus station near the airport schedules several trips to Dahab every day. You can also arrive by land from Cairo after a nine-hour bus trip across the peninsula.

It is easy to get around on foot since the town itself is small. The promenade, numerous tourist attractions and several places to eat are all located along the beach. Rental bicycles are available at several locations as well, and shared taxis operate inexpensively within the city on time schedules.
