although the hotel is configured a little funny and the room was hard to find, the hotel was quiet and relatively easily accessible. the food was pretty good for the price. they don't offer a complimentary service to the airport, but they did schedule a taxi for me at 4am. beds are pretty uncomfortable. shower is so-so.

Clean and comfortabled and staff cheery and helpful. Didn't have time this time to use facilities but have used the pool and gym in the past. Great view from the restaurant.

Far enough out of the city to be quiet but only an easy 15 minutes bus ride from the city. Staff all friendly and helpful. Food in the evening good quality, tasty and good value. Breakfast was pretty good although the choices were a little limited. Would definately stay again.

While the location of the hotel is a little out of the way, the overall aesthetic of the hotel itself was lovely. Although neither the bed nor the pillows weren't comfortable in the slightest, the room service was quick, the food was averagely good and all of my requests were taken care of - like a 4am wake up call and taxi ride to the airport. I would stay here again as a spot of transfer to get me closer to the airport, but not as a place to stay for a week on vacation.

The lobby looks good. The hotel and rooms have been recently renovated according to the staff. However, the beds are soggy, rooms are dimly lit. Cups and spoons for tea were not clean. Why would you stay here? My husband picked the hotel.

rooms were perfect for what was needed although the service at the bar could of been much better. there seemed to be only one barman on to cover the bar plus dealing with food orders served in the lounge area.

Lovely hotel and friendly staff, very clean and excellent breakfast but would have preferred better breakfast options, only set price breakfast and not suitable if you are not having a full Scottish breakfast.

Better better than some 4 star places we have stayed in in England. Staff very helpful and the hotel exceeded expectations.

Although a little out of town, as we had a car, it was quite easy to get around. Also there are bus services very close. Great food, clean and well appointed rooms combine with great food to make this property and great place to stay.

The [website] price was the most competitive I could find for this hotel on this weekend. A very nice hotel and easy to access from the West. The disappointing features were a single slow elevator, a lack of working Sauna and the vastly overpriced breakfast. The latter 2 were essential for me as part of a weekend running in the Edinburgh Marathon.

The staff were really friendly, the room was really nice, though we could hear people talking in the rooms at either side of us. The Leisure facilites were good and the staff as well as the local members were friendly, though the Sauna was out of order, but who minds when you get a morning swim for free. You can get the Number 26 bus just round the corner from the hotel, this takes you into Edinburgh, just buy a day ticket for £3 and get on and off as much as you like. The pubs at the bottom of the hill from the hotel were great, we had a right laugh. We sampled local pub scene and can honestly say we had a fab time, bar staff were canny (apart from the Kinnilworth where the bar staff would rather chat than serve you). Try Dirty Dicks, they have over 100 whiskies on offer as well as local food (which was gorgeous), we had neeps and tatties with haggis. Can't wait to go back and would definetly recommend this hotel for location, facilities and staff friendliness.

A wedding reception was under way when we returned to our room abiout 9pm. having to get up early for a flight and the very loud party not finishing until 01.00 made it hard to sleep. a good idea would be to advise guests if something like this is going to be happening!!!!

The staff were very good indeed (my computer would not let me access the 'very good column). Breakfasts were buffet and freshly maintained and the bar food was of a good standard. The only gripe would be in paying £16.50 for a bottle of vin ordinere cab.sauv!

We were very pleased with this hotel, located within easy reach of the city (we took cabs to and from and they were approx £10 each way) or I believe the bus would be a fairly easy option too. The hotel was very clean and modern - very happy with the room, which had a huge bed and nice furnishings making it feel like a higher rated room. Our only issue was the walls were a little thin, unless it was the volume of the TV next door. Definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a budget option with a little extra value.

Leisure facilities were very good - which was just as well as there was nothing very much locally. The bar and restraunt were being renovated during my visit and when completed this should improve the evening - after the visit to the pool. Breakfast was very good evening menu not very exciting but fairly priced. The hotel suited my purpose which was somewhere comfortable to stay while attending a course - I would use the hotel again for this purpose but probably not if I was 'seeing the sights'

Overall very poor service - confusion over booking room rate - hotel only had room & no breakfast. Breakfast quoted as £7.50 per room but charged at £15 by reception. Tried ordering meal at bar but because they did not take order until 30 seconds after 6pm wanted to charge at restaurant prices so ate elsewhere. Best part of stay was the help & friendliness of staff in Leisure club Will not stay again or recommend to anyone

Rooms and other areas are very standard but the photos looked better. The bar menu is somewhat limited and the service from the bar person was appalling. A little far from city centre but bonus free car park for travellings by car. Comfy King size bed and decent bathroom.
