Rooms are small and the furniture and facilities are not that good, however this is made up by an excellent location and friendly staff

This hotel has virtually everything going for it. Great location near to Munt Plein, Singel, Rokin, trams 9 and 16 stop near to the rear and other places like Waterloo plein are close by. Staff were very good and Flo's, the restaurant, was also very good. Only thing I thought was missing were the little things in the room like hotel information (the TV info was sparse), the small toiletries and the full set of towels. These were in the room but took some finding. Well recommended.

Nice hotel in Amsterdam. Good location, very clean. Much bigger hotel room than I expected, pleasantly surprised. Only wished WiFi access was available in the hotel room.

Wir waren 7 Freunde in Amsterdam. Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen. Sehr zentral. Zu Fuss viel erreichbar. Sehr saubere und moderne Zimmer. Freundliches Personal. Wir mussten wegen Lärm das Zimmer wechseln, war innert 5 Minuten erledigt. Sehr zuvorkommend. Preis Leistung ist TOP.

The room was spacious, clean and modern. The bathroom was also modern. Staff was helpful when we thought the hair dryer wasn't working. TV had English-language channels so we felt connected to the U.S. The hotel was a block from a main Square and an absolutely wonderful tram system that took us all around central Amsterdam for 7 euros per day. Breakfast wan not included in my price, but for 15 euros a fantastic buffet was provided.

Clean and nice hotel with easy access to everything you want to see in Amsterdam. I have been to several hotels in Amsterdam, but this is absolutely the best so far, and with a reasonable price.

A good medium sized hotel in a very convenient central location. We had a quiet room with comfortable beds. We found the staff very obliging. Room prices were quite reasonable (but this was February). The buffet breakfast is of quite good quality but expensive (Euros 17.50) though most Amsterdam hotels charge quite a lot for this. You can save money by going out. There's a good brasserie next door which is convenient for having dinner if you don't want to go far. We would return to the Eden when in Amsterdam again.

Excellent hotel, convenient for all the sights. Professional and friendly staff, keen to help. Only negative was that some rooms overlook a nightclub where people are enjoying themselves, some what noisily, until dawn!

An efficient hotel with competent but not outstanding service. Good rooms although we had been upgraded to an executive suite. not really a suite but an OK room with a great view over the Amstel River. Good location close to plenty of restuarants and on a direct tram route to the Central Station, hence easy to get to and from the airport. Would probably stay there next time.

Arriving at the Hotel we collected the room keys and was shown to our rooms by conceirge so we were a little surprised when we were following him out of the hotel. He informaed us that we were staying in an 'apartment' great we thought until he opended the main door to these 'apartments' we had to climb 3 flights of stairs, the top flight being almost vertical with a very rickety banister. Once inside the apartment i began to sob, it was very very dated, curtains hanging off the rails , stained sofas , random pieces of un matching furniture however the view of the canal was magnificent. Despite the view i immediately asked to be allocated a room inside the actual hotel, they were very accomadating an got us a room straight away which was basic but clean with a nice bathroom. The hotel is situated on rembrandt square on one side and the front of the Hotel is on the canal. If you are going to book this Hotel i would specify that you want a room and not an apartment!

Staff were very helpful, friendly and approachable which made our stay very pleasant. Facilities are clean and well organised and location is great as there are many good cafes/restaurants around and close to the city centre and sites.

I was upgraded to an apartment from a standard twin-sharing room due to my long stay. However, the level of safety and security for the apartments is not as good as the hotel. The apartments are not part of the main hotel and you must enter them at a side alley entrance. At night, due to the presence of a few pubs, many shady individuals are seem at the alley. The alley could be quite dark and seemed dangerous are times. Plus there is a strange moldy smell in the room. But overall the location of the hotel is very accessible to major attraction of Amsterdam.

The front desk staff were welcoming and very accommodating. We did not eat in the restaurants, but the menus looked as if the food would be delicious. The location was perfect on the Amstel and walking distance from lots of lovely places. It was around the corner from Rembrandtplein which is very lively and can be noisy with bars/coffee houses and people, but still fun. The hotel was quiet though and there was free internet in the bar and wi fi in the rooms. We were upgraded to 4* room without asking. It was small but adequate and the beds were comfy.
