staff were very nice although i have never stayed in a hotel room so small before!! and in the bathroom, you could go to the toilet, shower and brush your teeth in the sink all at the same time!! Although it was VERY good location with great links and close to the shops and Earls Court.

What a disgrace. We had originally booked for 4 nights, after 1 night we left. The bathroom door didn't close, the window didn't close, the room wasn't heated and the closet.... what closet. As for the kitchenette... where to begin. The hotel should be marketed towards backpackers, but even the facilities in most hostels are far superior then here. Overall, it should be given a 1 star rating.

Management has invested in upgrading the fixtures and furnishings. The kitchenette they have added is a basic very small closet with a sink basin, single hot plate, microwave, and set of china and silverware for two. It's good for making coffee (supply your own coffee and coffee-maker) or tea (tea bas and sugar supplied) or microwaving a small snack meal. Since breakfast is very basic, this can help get a better start to the day. Singles tend to be ultra small. Doubles make a comfortable basic single. Bedding is new and provides a good night's sleep. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Experience for a London budget accommodation is quite positive. Recommended for budget travelers who need a comfortable, clean and reasonably cheerful small room. Refurbushments are curentlybeing completed. Wifi is not yet accessible in all rooms. Hotel is a short walk from the Earls Court underground

The price is too expensive for the kind of the hotel we got. The location is not really quite if some event going on the convention center which is direct behind our bedroom window. The room is quite small especially bathroom.

Single room was very small, but that was fine as I was only using it as a base, and when I checked in I was given the choice of having a double room if I wanted one. Staff were very pleasant and the continental breakfast was well stocked and of a good standard.

A great hotel to stay at the reasonable price offered, compared to a 3-star hotel I recently stayed in. Would recommend it anytime!

I'm not really expecting anything apart from clean sheets and towels, so this hotel works for me. The room is really quite tiny though and what really bothered me was that the door didn't close properly. There was at least a 3" gap between the floor and the bottom of the door. I can't really decide how I feel about that security-wise...

The York Hotel was according to my expectations. For the price we have paid the conditions were very good. The only thing that could be improved was the number of tv channels that were very limited.

The good things: hotel location :safe environment, very close to tube, in quiet residential street. reception welcoming, the service was friendly and accommodating. room reasonably clean. Not so good: double room: tiny! When we arrived, there was a bad smell in the room - we were offered air freshner The shower was dangerous - pouring out hot water one minute, cold the next, and boiling hot the next. The TV had poor reception and very few channels - it was located so high up you had to lie flat to watch it - we had to return to reception to get a remote control against a deposit. The kitchenette was a wardrobe with a microwave, a kettle and a cooker ring -I thought it was something of a fire hazard. The wardrobe was very inadequate for two people. Would I return - no (if the room were bigger yes) - I would rather pay a bit more and get a decent size room - you need it in London after a busy day.

We found the rooms very small. We had a triple room and with 3people and their bags it was a tight squeeze. The shower door was broken but apart from that it was good value for money. The location was good and it was clean.

Really clean nice hotel. Rooms are on the small side. The location is excellent really close to the tube station and a bus stop, so easy to get around.
