Eating at the numerous restuarants is expensive but the meals at the one we used were good and the staff are very friendly and efficient. Overall a recommended place to stay.

A very good hotel - fantastic value when you get it at Internet prices. The Dusit Thani is conveniently a located in the Silom district of Bangkok opposite Lumphini Park and right by Subway and Skytrain stations. I would agree with comments made in earlier reviews: the rooms are as good as you would expect from a 5 star hotel, and having stayed at other 5 star hotels in Bangkok this month, I thought it was especially good for it's breakfast, with a wide range of different cuisines all very well prepared. Also there were very nice lobby/public spaces and and a good swimming pool. The staff were good and also very helpful about finding a battery charger I had left in the room, so I could collect it a few days later. This is my third stay there in 10 years and I have always been satisfied, so would happily include it on the shortlist of htoels to recommend to my friends.

This hotel is in a perfect location. Skytrain station just around the corner. and underground station right outside- take this for one stop to the night market. Also very close to Patpong. Excellent swimming pool and great breakfast. Highly recommended.

One of the best in its class, Dusit Thani has still the 5-star class. Almost everything is perfect, hotel itself might look a bit worn from outside, but inside everything works perfectly and looks very new & modern. The lobby is very grande, facilities are just superb. Room is very clean and really nice inside. A lilttle minus that the swimming pool is small, but you can't go wrong with the location, just next to everything. We have stayed at Montien for almost the same rate, and there is a big different. Next time we will always choose the Dusit Thani if we want to stay at Silom area.

Nice hotel with helpful people at check in. They upgraded our room as they were full. However I suggest CHECK the conditions and your bills carefully before pay...

We got a very good deal from asia hotels.com. Hence for the price, The hotel was very good value.(we paid the prepaid rate). It was a five star hotel but we were paying cheap rates. As the Bangkok hotel industry is very competitive, you can find real bargains.

The breakfast was excellent and staff were friendly. When the spa opens, it will give the hotel that extra edge. Try the Thai restaurant, which had a very good atmosphere. For value for money, I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

Great location, 100 yrds to Skytrain and 400 yrds Patpong (if you're interested which we weren't). Golf driving range, nice pool, fitness center/spa being refurbished at the moment. Excellent Thai restaurant with award for best in Bangkok 2000. Would stay again at US$81 can't beat it other than the Peninsula which is the BEST but further out of center of Bangkok.

The location is wonderful along with the friendly staff makes this hotel great value. This is my second stay here this year. This time my room was in the old wing and the room was charming; but needed a good face lift. The bathroom fixtures were old, but functional. The paint on the wood doors and other surfaces were chipped and dingy. One would not expect this from a hotel of this supposed quality. The room was very clean though - just old and tired.

A generally very satisfactory hotel with an excellent position to access the local markets and restaurants. The overall style and condition of the rooms was a little disappointing, we felt that they were tired and showing signs of needing refurbishment to maintain the status that was claimed and assumed by the prices.

I have been a guest at this hotel 15 years ago. It is clear that little has been done to maintain the hotel in tip top shape. The ceilings and corners have dark stains from the aircon system. Generally everything bears traces of hard use. The bathrooms look dated. Still the hotel has the renowed Chinatown restaurant which is excellent quality.

I felt for the price, it is hard to beat. The location is convenient for shopping and is just short walk to the BTS. The bathrooms could use a little work. Basically the bathrooms are old. The grouting is in bad shape, the sinks are stained. I know that there are a lot of facilities there, but I did not use any of them.
