Situated on an island in the Mae Kok River, in the heart of the Golden Triangle, Dusit Island Resort is surrounded by natural beauty yet close to the centre of Chiang Rai and just 11 kilometres from Chiang Rai International Airport.

We have stayed here before & found the service to be as good as before. The quality of the accomodation, the food and the facilities are all ecellent and we would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to base themselves in Chaing Rai. On this stay whilst we were there, it was one of the groups birthday and the hotel provided, free of charge, a beautiful birthday cake with candles as a surprise.

An oases in Chiang Rai

This is a beautiful hotel built right on the edge of the river, with gorgeous views in every direction. The pool, which is massive, juts out into the river and has a nice little bar where you can relax with a drink after a day of trekking. The only complaint I have is that there was not Internet access at the hotel, but it isn''t a big deal as it is readily available in town.

This hotel was very fine. The tour desk in the lobby was extremely helpful in arranging local sightseeing trips. Hotel staff went out of their way in successfully retrieving a novel we dropped at the airport. The river view room was first rate.

Ate quite regularly in the restaurant. The thai yellow curry was wonderful but the vegetarian burger was absolutely terrible. The hotel was excellent, the staff friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again.
