I was in Houston for a conference. The hotel has a very good rating so I decided to try it out. It was indeed restful and peaceful. The hotel has free hot breakfast and dinner among other wonderful things. It is certainly a good place to stay.

I was only there about 12 hr, getting in too late for the complimentary food. The clerk at the desk was friendly but the overall impression I got was dreary. Breakfast was adequate but not particularly tasty and disappointing overall. Again, staff was friendly and helpful, including helping me when I could not find my room key. Taxi to airport was paid for (actual taxi, not hotel shuttle), very nice. No food service available in hotel late at night. I was directed to a sad fast food Mexican place within easy walking distance. Again, people were friendly, better than the food they served. The only available outlet I could find would not securely hold plug so I unplugged a lamp.
