Dreams Villamagna Resorts & Spa All Inclusive Nuevo Vallarta Guest Reviews
The resort is beautiful and the rooms are exactly as they are shown on the website. Most of the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, but can be a bit aggressive about getting you to book a future vacation with them. The food and service at the restaurants needs some improvement. Overall, it's a nice getaway for couples, young or old and families.

This resort was exactly what we were looking for. The rooms were large, spacious, and were cleaned immaculately everyday. The view from our oceanfront room was amazing and watching the sunset over the bay every night was not to be missed. There were miles of beach to walk and plenty of chairs and palapas available at all times of the day. This is not a party resort! It is very quiet, but that is exactly what we were looking for. The restaurants were all good and there was a buffet also. The Staff were outstanding, and this is what sets this resort above many others. They were so responsive to any request we made. Will definitely be traveling to Dreams resort again.

Relaxing week with adult children, their spouses and teen granddaughter. Lovely rooms, delightful staff, excellent food although selection not as varied as other all-inclusives. Favorite dinner was at Portofino - a Five-Star restaurant and staff far above any we've experienced at any other resort. Beach accommodations were great; staff fun and very congenial. No wristband required - hooray! Overall excellent experience!

WONDERFUL FOOD!! AS GOOD AND SOMETIMES BETTER THAN WHAT YOU GET ON CRUISES. DRINKS WERE GREAT!!! BED WAS COMFORTABLE. WENT TO SISTER HOTEL, DREAMS PUERTO VALLARTA, FOR COMPLIMENTARY DAY. A LOT OF FUN. WE TIPPED. BAR STAFF ONLY GET $8 A DAY PLUS TIPS AND MAIDES $6 A DAY PLUS TIPS. GREAT SERVICE UNLESS YOU ARE ON THE BEACH OR POOL. MUSIC WASN'T VERY GOOD. BOTTLED COKES TASTED RUSTY FROM CAPS. WENT AS A COUPLE AND WITH 33 YEAR OLD SON. NOT TOO MANY SINGLES. OTHER REVIEWS SAID KIDS WERE A PAIN BUT NO PROBLEM TO US. 3/4 GUESTS WERE MEXICAN NATIONALS AND THE REST AMERICAN, CANADIANS, ETC. WE WERE A LITTLE FAR FROM EVERYTHING, BUT HOTEL MADE UP FOR IT. BEAUTIFUL BEACH. NO RESERVATIONS WERE GREAT ON RESTAURANTS. PREFER THEY WOULD USE WRIST BANDS.HAD TO TELL ROOM NUMBER AND NAME OVER AND OVER. PAID $25 FOR CAB TO GO TO DREAMS PUERTO VALLARTA AND THEY CHARED $30 TO GO BACK. WE ASKED HOTEL WHY. THEY SAID THAT WAS THE WAY IT WAS. THE CAB PRICES ARE POSTED. WE WALKED THE BEACH AND THEY OTHER HOTELS SEEMED DESERTED. JUST A FEW PEOPLE. OUR HOTEL SEEMED 60 PERCENT CAPACITY. THEY NEED NIGHT TIME ENTERTAINMENT. THE SKYBAR IS LAME. WE HAVE TRAVELED ALL OVER THE WORLD AND IT WAS THE BEST ROOM WE STAYED IN. TROPICAL AND PARTIAL OCEAN VIEW BEAUTIFUL. RECOMMEND TO ALL OUR FRIENDS AND WOULD GO BACK AND TO ANOTHER DREAMS RESORT.

My boyfriend and I stayed for a week at this hotel at the beginning of October and we enjoyed our trip very much. The friendliness of the staff was my favourite part of the resort. We were a bit worried about the weather before we got there, as we would be arriving during rainy season. The forecast predicted thunder showers all week but it really doesn't seem to rain for more than half an hour to 1 hour stretches. And even so, the mornings and afternoons were always very very sunny, with clouds rolling in early in the evening (very predictable). It stormed 2 of the nights we were there and it was great: swimming in the ocean, watching the rain from the jacuzzi on our balcony. When we arrived, the staff were quick to greet us. While we getting checked in at the open concept lobby, one of the staff brought us cold fresh towels and mimosas. The process was very quick and painless. We also upgraded from a tropical view suite to one with an ocean view and had wireless internet for a week thrown in for free. We found the wireless internet at the hotel to be very poor however. I'm not sure if it was a problem with the signal reception, internet speed, or some other I.T. issue, but the internet was very slow to load each page both up in our hotel room and down in the lobby. Upgrading to the ocean view added a really nice extra something and we appreciated the view of the pool grounds and the beach. The ocean view was beautiful in my opinion. We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the room every day. We were provided with fresh towels every day and the minibar is restocked daily with pop, bottled water, and Coronitas. The fridge would only be restocked with alcohol once a day unfortunately. We ordered in room service a lot (tired from a day of perfect sunny weather!) and it usually took about 30-45 mins for us to get our food. The quality of the room service would vary each time depending on how busy they were. On some days we would not have any trouble finding nice spots by the pool but on other days the best spots would be taken. Especially if we arrived a bit later (e.g. a bit past noon). Overall however, there were lots of chairs available by the pool (which is really nice considering that the resort was at 80% capacity, which we were told by one of the staff members at the front desk). The resort appeared to be very kid friendly. Quite a few kids around but we didn't find this to be an issue at all. The staff did try to hold daily activities around the pool at various times throughout the day but we didn't end up participating much (except for one volleyball game). We were told by another couple that their light show on one night was quite entertaining. If you are looking for more of a younger party scene, you likely won't find that atmosphere at this resort. Most bars will be closed before midnight and this resort is about a 200 peso cab ride away from downtown PVR. We did enjoy the Gohan Sky Bar on the nights it was open. It was enough for us to get appropriately sauced. As for the food at the resort, I personally quite enjoyed all the different restaurants. It was really nice not having to wear wristbands, make reservations, or only be allowed to dine at certain restaurants a limited number of times. We went to our favourite restaurant, Portofino, as often as we could. Portofino really was very good for a fine dining type of place; every dish was very well done and I have nothing negative to say about the food. Service can be a bit slow when they are busy. El Patio was quite good as well, but the AC was not functioning well while we were there and that can really affect your dining experience. The buffet at the World Cafe was also decent and appropriate for a buffet style restaurant. Not all the restaurants are open every day. Basically they will leave you a daily newsletter-type note in your room, letting you know what activities are available each day and what restaurants will be open for breakfast/lunch/dinner. B
